Raytraxians
Raytraxians are the opposing team to the Humans in Kaiju Paradise. They are usually capable of converting Humans, turning them into fellow Raytraxians, though some are capable of actually killing a Human. They usually cannot pick up weapons due to their lack of knowledge on how to use the weapons, although there is only one current Raytraxian in game that does have this ability.
When a Human loses all of their HP either due to hazards around the map or by another Raytraxian, they will turn into one of them. There are specific items lying around the map that can also turn a Human into a Raytraxian. Along with this, there are also food items that can be used on hazards eaten to turn into a Raytraxian.
Basic Abilities
A few Raytraxians have their own unique abilities that can be found within their respective entries, but almost all have two basic abilities: Grab and Attack. Attack is typically a quick swipe functionally similar to most Human melee weapons, while Grab allows one to grapple a Human, dealing a large amount of damage over time, benefitting from lifesteal, and allowing you to maneuver them into an unfavorable position utilizing environmental hazards.

Attack
"Attack them"
Attack as stated, is a quick swipe that deals solid damage and allows for quick and efficient finishers, granting you 30 HP regen upon successful infection. This, however, does not knockback nor does it stun Humans. In tandem with Grab, it is possible to deal a large amount of damage to a single Human by swapping to Attack after Grab, as the Grab's cooldown expires while grabbing onto a Human. Using Attack on Humans wearing transmogrifying items such as Catte buckets will knock them off of the Human.
Some Raytraxians deal more damage, such as Manic during Power Outages or in some cases reduced damage, such as Azarue's reduced direct damage.

"Grab them"
Grab, as its name suggests, allows one to grab their enemy, dealing a high amount of damage over the duration of the Grab. While grabbing your victim, you can slowly move them into environmental hazards such as puddles, crystals and Shork fins, allowing for a quicker conversion. While doing so, the Raytraxian's health will regenerate by 25% damage dealt and will gain 15 HP upon a successful convert.
In order to escape a grab, the Human must mash their screen, keyboard or mouse. Alternatively, if the Raytraxian grabbing the Human is interrupted by an attack, they will release the victim from the grab. Raytraxians may also unequip grab to release their victim. Upon being grabbed, a click count appears on the screen in which the player has to click 15 times in order to escape the grab. Upon breaking out of a grab, the Human will be given a 2 second omen period that prevents them from being grabbed again.
If the option "New Struggle System" is enabled, the player must rapidly press two designated keys (Q and E by default) in the correct order until the bar fills up, of which will break them out of the grab.
The damage of Grab is dealt every .2 seconds. They can also be almost entirely prevented by using a Long Pipe at the cost of its durability and slight damage to its wielder. Some Raytraxians also have abilities that add effects to the grab, such as the unique animation of Hebi, Nightcrawler, Figs, and formerly Kawaii Shork and Panther, Crawlipede's Weak Grab, or Lemon Shork's ability to blur the victim's screen.

Bestiary
The above table is organized to resemble the in-game Bestiary, which was added in the first part of V3.1. The Bestiary serves the purpose of allowing players to view additional information regarding Raytraxians, such as a detailed description, how many you have killed, converts obtained while using them, and how many times you have become them. Hovering over icons inside of the Bestiary will change the icon to an alternative art of the Raytraxian. In previous versions, doing so repetitively on certain Raytraxians would play a special sound effect easter egg relating to the Raytraxian.
Entries can be unlocked by converting 5 Humans in a row as the specific Raytraxian or by killing the specific Raytraxian you wish to unlock 5 times without dying. The only exception to this is the Nightcrawler, which require you to either turn into or kill its Goggled variant once, or convert 10 Humans as a minion.
While in the Bestiary, "Snooping", composed by Fishcracks, will play.
Do note that most of the Bestiary entries do not have a description yet as they are not yet finished.

Removed Raytraxians
- Charem - Removed in V3D due to controversies with its creator, primarily involving inappropriate actions made towards minors online.[v]
- Charem has been replaced by Saturn in a V3.1 update.
- Tiger Shork - Added in V3.0. Removed as of V3.1 due to its design being too similar to a character from a different game.
- It was replaced by Lantern Shork for a short time.
- Trystan and ConeKat - Both were removed in V3.1 per request from FoxxoTrystan, via DMCA notice due to internal conflict between them and KP staff.
- ConeKat has been replaced with Sprinklekit in the Late Winter Update.
- Trystan has been replaced by Witchbrew in the Hallow's Eve Update.
- Lang, Feizao and Fashui - Removed in a mini-update prior to V3.1R due to complications with their creator.
- Lang was originally going to be replaced by another community-created Raytraxian named Spunky. However, due to the announcement regarding the discontinuation of the Raytraxian Contributor team at the time, as well as personal Developer decision to avoid further drama, Spunky nor any gas-related Raytraxian will replace Lang.
- Feizao was initially replaced with Glubby in a V3.1 update.
- Fashui has since been replaced with Dagoda in a V3.1 update.
- Carneline, Panther and Lantern Shork - Removed in V3.1R as requested by their creator due to wanting to dissociate with the genre KP is based on.
- Kawaii Shork was replaced by Pseudo Shork in V3.1R as it is Kawaii Shork's redesign.
- It has been readded along with a new design, though it became a Costume for Pseudo Shork.
- Protogen and Dark Protogen - Removed in 3.1R for multiple reasons including their models using an excessive amount of UGC meshes, lack of motivation to complete their remodels (which still used UGC) and already being planned for replacement.
- Protogen will be replaced by an unnamed robotic bear Raytraxian in the future.
- Slime Pup Dragon and Slime Dragon - Removed in the V3.1 Revamp Update due to being too similar to a concept from a different game.
- Despite Slime Pup and Slime Hound getting replacements, it has been confirmed that Slime Dragon will not be replaced by any new Raytraxian.
- Plantix - Removed in the V3.1R Cosmetics Update by request and complications with its creator.
- Plantix has been replaced by Azarue.
- Slime Pup and Slime Hound - Removed in the V3.2 April Fools Update as requested by their creator due to being kicked off from the Kaiju Paradise team.
- They will be replaced by Shamrock and Snaptrap respectively.
- Glubby - Removed in the V3.3 Update due to mass dislike of their design from the community and staff team.
- Glubby was replaced by Sircu in V3.3.
Tips
The tips are based on certain players game-play and may not entirely be accurate, please keep in mind not all tips apply to certain game styles and some of these tips can cause (but not all) may require some training for.
- Staying in groups can increase survival chances by having teammates to back you up.
- Using Attack on Long Pipe is advised over using grab, as attack will convert them in 4 hits as opposed to grab's 6 hits.
- Using Grab isn't completely worthless, however, as the Long Pipe user will still take 20 damage, as well as lose 3.5 durability from their Long Pipe.
- Try avoiding combat near the barrier, as you can accidentally run into or be knocked into it. Instead, utilize your combat at areas with a lot of hazardous props, such as Shork fins or Toxic/Nuclear Spikes.
- Avoid attempting this in the Crystal Cove, as the crystals there can also damage Raytraxians.
- Evade from fights if you and your group is weaker and cannot win the fight as you can easily be killed if you’re outnumbered and out armed.
- Using Attack on a grabbed opponent is a quick and easy way to get converts.
- It is not recommended to use Grab as Crawlipede or Azarue, as their grabs are weaker compared to other Raytraxians.
- Crawlipede is unable to move grabbed humans themselves, and Azarue's grab does less damage and lifesteal.
Trivia
- In the previous game, The Underground Facility, the infected creatures were referred to as "Latex Monsters". Due to copyright issues with the creator of the game it was based on, it was completely shut down, with TZB Studio (now LAMINAX CO.) beginning work on Kaiju Paradise and The Final Experiment instead shortly after.
- The only latex monsters to have been migrated from The Underground Facility to Kaiju Paradise are Charem, Protogen, Tiger Shork and Trystan. All of them have been removed from the game for reasons stated under the Removed Raytraxians heading. An unreleased Raytraxian named Moth was also carried over, although it was never made public.
- As of 2024, development of The Final Experiment was canceled, with most of its content being moved into Kaiju Paradise.
- They were known as "Gootraxians" prior to an early January 2025 minor update.
- The term "Raytraxian" is likely a portmanteau of radiation, referring to their method of converting/mutating others.
- Prior to V3.1R, most of the face assets were made by Blaxor, although a few were made by others.
- The meshes for Raytraxians, such as the cheek fluff or tail, were made by Ronin.
- Prior to V3.1R, most of the Raytraxian meshes were retextured versions of the meshes taken from certain UGC items, such as the ones from JohnDrinkin, and other creators such as Sinox's ears being a retextured version of the Pointy Fluffy Ears made by antillique.
- All Bestiary icons prior to V3.1R were drawn by Mysticalesta, except for Witchbrew and Saturn, which was made by YukaChaan, and Partyena, which was made by Milkshake. However, in V3.1R, most of the Bestiary icons were revamped, now drawn by Milkshake, with Partyena and Kaiju's icons being revamped later in V3.2.
- Charem and Tiger Shork were the only two Raytraxians to not have an entry within the Bestiary, as they were removed before the Bestiary was introduced.
- Zombie is the first Raytraxian to be made publicly available after previously being made with the intention of being exclusive to developer commands.
- Despite this, Zombie still had a viewable Bestiary Entry before its proper introduction.
- Repeatedly hovering over entries in the Bestiary will result in the selecting sound becoming increasingly higher pitched before yielding a special effect, along with the icon pulsing.
- Most of the entries will make a generic buzzer sound.
- Nightcrawler's icon will begin to pulse rapidly and make their Pursue screeching sounds.
- Jammer plays a short clip of "JAMS" by Fishcracks.
- Buck makes a metal banging sound, matching their Throw ability.
- Glubby and Dagoda make a cartoon slipping sound effect, matching their Slippery ability.
- Partyena plays the same nose honk sound effect played when another player clicks on its nose.
- Ghost Fox makes a Lightning Lunge sound effect while their icon goes invisible for a few seconds.
- Crawlipede plays a generic bug squishing noise.
- Slime Pup, Slime Pup Dragon, and Slime Hound all made a plushie squeak sound, with Hound's being lower pitched.
- Protogen made a Windows XP error noise, though it was not shared with Dark Protogen.
- Various Raytraxians are able to outright kill Humans instead of converting them. Said methods are listed below.
- Hazzy's weapons when equipped with a Hazmat Suit.
- Kaiju's Ion Beam
- VIP Fed's Tommy Gun.
- Zombie, Hebi, and its predecessor Panther's Claw.
- Buck's Throw.
- Catte's Slip Hazard.
- Nightcrawler's Pursue and Snare.
- Pseudo Shork's Thief Lunge.
- Sircu and Dagoda, and their predecessors Glubby, Feizao, and Fashui's Slippery.
- Partyena's Grand Slam.
- Before being removed, Slime Pup's bite and Slime Pup Dragon's Flying Attack were also able to do this.
- Any hair accessories being worn at the time of conversion will change color depending on which Raytraxian you become.
- Every Slime Raytraxian, Figs, Nightcrawler, Glubby, and Charem all used to remove the player's hair piece upon transformation.
- Figs, Glubby, and Nightcrawler were all changed to not have this feature due to complaints that it made the Raytraxians uglier and less interesting.
- Every Slime Raytraxian, Figs, Nightcrawler, Glubby, and Charem all used to remove the player's hair piece upon transformation.
- Partyena, Hebi, and Banana Split Sprinklekit are the only Raytraxians to not have a designated "blinking" face. Instead, Hebi and Partyena have their tongue occasionally poking out, while Banana Split Sprinklekit simply never changes their face texture.
- Hebi not having a blinking animation could be due to the fact that snakes, the species that they are based on, do not have eyelids, and thus are unable to blink.
- Partyena likely does not have a blinking animation either due to the fact that their eyes are always closed, or that the Developers just thought a tongue blep would fit a silly Raytraxian like them.
- Banana Split Sprinklekit does not have a blinking animation due to their eyes always being closed.
- Before wall hits were made invalid, Raytraxians could grab a human on top of a shelf if they were on a lower tier, seemingly teleporting the human into the grab. This is no longer possible.
- All Raytraxians, whilst doing the Smug or Boppin emote, will have their face swapped to their "grab" face. Jammer, as well as any player holding the Boombox item, will play a muffled version of an emote's song if it has one.
- As of late, the only emotes to have accompanying music are Smug and California, which play Transit and California 8-bit respectively.
- All wearable Transmogrifying Items can be removed from the map temporarily by picking them up and resetting your character before becoming converted, as the item will despawn along with your body. This can also be done by donning a Hazmat Suit, resulting in the item being launched from the player's head.
- Raytraxians receive a damage reduction when stunned, with the damage being halved for every hit after the stun was applied. This is to prevent them from instantly dying to a large group of survivors during their stun duration.
- In the April Fools 2024 update, the text that showed up when a Raytraxian attempted to pick up a weapon was changed to say "You can't carry any items." as opposed to the old message which mentioned the Raytraxian's "Slippery Paws". The lore was changed to the fact that Raytraxians are not intelligent enough to hold or use the weapons.
- The reason given by Developer Flippy as to why Hazzy can still use weapons is that they watch survivors using them and learned to do it themselves. Lore-wise, it is unknown as to why they can only use them while wearing a Hazmat Suit, if this is the case.
Known Bugs
