Protogen
Protogens were normally depicted in media as cyborgs or bio-cybernetic beings, but in Kaiju Paradise they appear as a Raytraxian. They are white-furred, half-robotic, and anthropomorphic creatures that wear a black, grey, and blue visor on their heads made of nanites. The Laminax logo is displayed on both sides.
They emit a startup noise upon transformation, Windows error popup noises upon being hit and Windows shutdown noises once killed.
Protogen has been removed as of the V3.1 Revamp Update.
Abilities
Increased Health (Passive)
Protogens have an increased health of 115 HP.
Self-Destruct
If their health is below 50%, they gain a Self Destruct function. Upon activation, they emit a beeping sound until they eventually explode, dealing 60 HP damage to all survivor players in the near vicinity. If a survivor's HP is low enough, the explosion will turn them into Ghost Fox.
While self destruct is happening, their health will be set to a specific health and gain more resistance to damages. Their walk speed will also be set to the value of 20, even while grabbing. There is a major bug in the game that causes this ability to not damage anyone under 60 HP, meaning it is impossible to kill anyone with it.

Water Damage
Protogens will lose 13.5 HP every 1.5 seconds of being inside water due to electrocution.

Overcharging
If a Protogen is hit by a Taser, they will play a short charging sound effect before exploding, dealing damage to, knocking back and ragdolling anybody nearby, affecting both humans and Raytraxians alike. While the damage that is dealt scales off proximity to the Protogen, anyone in its blast radius will be stunned.

Protogens can be obtained by losing all of your health to a Protogen puddle in the Security Rooms, or being converted by another Protogen.

Tips
Please note that most things listed in this section are not objective, and are not the "Correct" way to use them. This section is used to give advice to players who want to learn how to use their tools more efficiently.
- You should avoid going near the Shark Pool, Reception Desk, and the small pool in the Garden altogether as Survivors can easily ragdoll you into the water, which will likely lead to a quick death.
- It is actually possible to cross the entire Shark Pool without dying via jumping across the various props in the water and tanking the water damage through the center hallway. This is not recommended if you are in combat as it requires very precise movement, which can easily be interrupted by your opponents.
- It is not recommended that you use Self-Destruct at any point, unless you do not care about dying, as using this ability will guarantee your death at its conclusion.
- Self-Destruct can be used to effectively chase hoards of Survivors away from an area quickly, as the explosion does massive damage to anyone near it.
- One notable use for this is if a Diamond Slime has died and you want to get them away from the Crate it drops.
- Another good use of Self-Destruct is to take free converts when blowing up on unsuspecting crowds with an accomplice.
- Self-Destruct can be used to effectively chase hoards of Survivors away from an area quickly, as the explosion does massive damage to anyone near it.

- The Protogen, Dark Protogen and Sprinklekit (and ConeKat before it was removed) are the only Raytraxians that can be hurt by water.
- Protogens received a slight redesign since their incarnation in The Underground Facility.
- The startup noise was made by Fishcracks13.
- The normal and its counterpart have different startup noises. The former being more lighthearted while the latter is more sinister.
- Along with its counterpart, it has a very similar existing hat.
- The Protogen and its counterpart are likely based on the Protogen Furry Fandom species, created by CoolKoinu on Twitter and Fur Affinity.
- The Protogen puddles in Security used to be completely white, now appearing with a slight blue/green hue.
- The BSOD Bestiary icon used when the user hovers its Bestiary icon too much, the icon is an edited version of the old icon.
