Long Pipe

The Long Pipe is a weapon in Kaiju Paradise. It's a makeshift weapon consisting of 3 pipes connected together by adhesive tape. Its golden variant, Hawk, is a massive longsword several times the player's height in length, adorned with a rough, dusty gold color and golden sparkles.
Properties
The Long Pipe has an unique ability in which it blocks grabs from Raytraxians at the cost of durability and slight damage to its wielder. Upon hitting a Raytraxian with the Long Pipe, they will ragdoll and get flung in the direction you hit them, knocking the Raytraxian away from you.
It has the longest range out of any melee weapon in the game. Therefore, it's generally advised to utilize it offensively to clear larger swathes of Raytraxians, or to use it more defensively by relying on the ragdoll and longer range to keep Raytraxians at bay while the cooldown expires. Alternatively, it could be primarily used for its grab blocking properties only, relying more on secondary weapons to deal damage due to its relatively low damage output compared to others.
Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The long Pipe broke into a million pieces."
Hawk, in heavy contrast to its normal counterpart, is a juggernaut-like weapon, trading much of its user's mobility for a sharp increase in damage and range. When the player equips Hawk, they suffer an 8 second cooldown where they are unable to swing their weapon or switch which weapon they have equipped. While Hawk is being held, the player suffers a heavy movement penalty, with their sprint being reduced to the same speed of normal walking as well as their ability to jump being removed. Swinging the weapon also locks its user in place, preventing them from moving or turning their camera at all. It features three different swings, cycling between them every use, with one going from left to right, the next going right to left, and the last going overhead and directly forward. Despite these downsides, Hawk makes up for it with its absurd damage output, capable of two-shotting every Raytraxian in the game aside from Goggled Nightcrawlers, which is only improved upon with the assistance of teammates. Similar to a regular long pipe, Hawk also blocks Raytraxian grabs while it's equipped.
Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "Hawk became too heavy to handle..."

- The sound that plays when the Long Pipe breaks:
If a Raytraxian tries to grab a player wielding a Long Pipe, they will slow them down to 17 walkspeed for 1 second, and cause between 22 and 17 damage to the Human along side either of the text will display for the Raytraxian:
- If the Long Pipe remains intact after being hit:
- "Their long pipe counters your Grab... Try Attack instead!"
- If the Long Pipe breaks after being hit:
- "The long pipe broke into a million pieces.."
- "You broke their long pipe, you're free to Grab now!"
If the player attacks a Raytraxian that can counter the Long Pipe, such as Hebi or Nightcrawler, the following text will display:
- "Seems like they managed to block/evade your pipe swing.."
As of V3.3, the Long Pipe currently has 30 skins.
Obtainment
The Long Pipe can be found scattered around the facility in four specific spawn locations, which can be found in the Weapons page. Unlike other items, which have a rather short spawn timer, the Long Pipe spawns every 480 seconds (8 minutes).
The Golden Long Pipe can be randomly obtained per 30 kill streak.

Tips
Please note that most things listed in this section are not objective, and are not the "Correct" way to use them. This section is used to give advice to players who want to learn how to use their tools more efficiently.
- Overall, a Long Pipe best supports survivability more than other benefits gained.
- Long Pipes are ideal for more defensive or supportive play, given its downsides at the cost of its other abilities.
- Due to its long cooldown and poor damage output in comparison to other weapons, a Long Pipe generally falls flat when it comes to more drawn-out combat.
- These features, however, should not overshadow its auxiliary compatibility to be used in conjunction with other weapons due to its stun duration.
- Due to its long cooldown and poor damage output in comparison to other weapons, a Long Pipe generally falls flat when it comes to more drawn-out combat.
- The Long Pipe's knockback can be used to push Raytraxians into the laser gates at spawn, instantly killing them.
- Try to attack from as far as possible. The Long Pipe donning a vast hitbox can prove useful in dangerous situations.
- Its ability to block a Raytraxian's grab will retain any moment a Long Pipe is being held, including while in the midst of being swung.
- While its blocking animation will play if a Raytraxian uses grab on the Long Pipe during its swinging animation, this will not cancel out the swing itself and will allow its wielder to still use the weapon.
- Despite one of its main attributes being its ability to block Grab, it is much better off to avoid being grabbed as a whole than to use its durability to deflect them as the player will still get damaged and slowed down significantly. Although Long Pipes may block up to eleven (fifteen if Golden) instances of them, individual use on other targets should also be counted.
- If you know the target you are fighting can block or evade your Long Pipe, try to keep it on hand solely to block grabs. Hitting a target that can block or evade will result in a short slowdown effect, which can leave you quite vulnerable and open to attack from other enemies.
- The long cooldown time and lower damage makes you vulnerable after swinging at enemies. Try to hit the target(s), then attempt to gain at least some distance to avoid taking damage.
- Try not to find yourself in a mob of Raytraxians, as the slow cooldown will fall under numerous punches and grabs that can take you down fast, which is also backed in the scenario you are slowed down by a blocked grab.
- Regardless of how low the wielder is, blocking a grab cannot reduce the Long Pipe wielder's health past 1 given they are low enough to die by deflecting the grab.
- The Long Pipe can be paired with a player with a sledgehammer, being an effective crowd control duo that can deal massive bursts of damage on a single target alongside both weapons being capable of dealing with crowds.
- Along with normal grabs, Pseudo Shork's Thief Lunge can also be blocked by Long Pipe, damaging the Long Pipe.
Trivia
- The Long Pipe is the direct replacement of the Scythe.
- The Scythe has since been reintroduced in the form of a Common Skin for the Long Pipe, obtainable via randomly crafting two common skins together.
