Crawlipede

"You feel something crawling on your skin..."
Crawlipede is a centipede Raytraxian with primarily brown fur and orange highlights on their arms, face, legs, and tail. They have two smaller arms below their normal ones, connected near the waist, although are not animated in any way. On all of their limbs, they also appear to have spike-covered scales that extend outwards, revealing their slightly glowing red innards beneath them.
Being a centipede, they also have a large, furry tail that extends well above their own height, with 8 extra legs attached on the sides and 2 ultimate legs on the end.
Abilities
Decreased Size (Passive)
While this mostly appears to only be a visual difference, Crawlipedes are slightly smaller in size compared to other Raytraxians, being 0.9x smaller.
Weak Grab (Passive)
Due to Crawlipede being smaller than most other Raytraxians, they are unable to move Survivors while grabbing them, opting to latch onto the Survivor's back instead. This comes with the downside of Survivors being able to move by themselves even while being grabbed, although at a slower movement speed.

Acquirement
Crawlipede can be acquired by repeatedly opening lockers, with a 1/4 chance of 3 small centipedes beginning to crawl around on the player's screen. The player is able to click on these centipedes 5 times each to destroy them, while failure to do so within 15 seconds will result in transforming into crawlipede. You can also be converted by another Crawlipede Raytraxian.
When you get centipedes out of a locker, the following text will pop up:
- "You feel something crawling on your skin..."
Whereas failing to get rid of the centipedes in time will show the following text afterwards:
- "It's too late to get them off..."
Bestiary Entry

A creature fashioned after Chilopoda, the Crawlipedes are a predatory type of raytrax accidentally created of mutated pests that managed their way into the facility, with brown fur and a long multi-segmented tail, utilized for both climbing and deterring pesky creatures that get too close - favouring their personal space from unfamiliar foes. Crawlipedes can be found in the darkest corners of the facility and where that may draw shade away from the blinding lights above, being highly social within their own species and vocalizing so; their chirrups and screeches audible from around the caverns. To those outside of their tight-knit social circles; they can be extremely advantageous and unpredictable, favouring toying with strangers - however, if taken by surprise, will flail their large tails and flee. |
Trivia
- According to their suggestion post from their creator, Crawlipede will possibly be recieving more abilities in a future update, being a tail swipe and a wall climb.
- Said abilities were not included on release due to time constraints and balancing concerns, and will be revisited later.
- Crawlipede's Grab uses the same animation as Slime Pup's Ride tool.
- If the player constantly hovers on and off of Crawlipede's Bestiary icon, a bug-squishing sound will play.
