Carnelines were feline Raytraxians available primarily during Power Outages. Their fur is mostly purple, with dark purple accents on their lower arms and neck fur as well as a lighter purple covering their chest, stomach, and bottoms of their feet. They have cyan blue scleras with a thick, pink iris surrounding their cyan pupils.
They have pinkish-red crystals growing on their body, mainly on their legs, tail and head. These crystals appear in the form of body markings, claws and horns. These crystals also glow and produce a red light during Power Outages.
Carneline was removed and replaced by Manic in the V3.1 Revamp Update.
Abilities
- Attack Damage Buff (PO Only)
During Power Outages, their attack damage increases, dealing 47.5 damage per hit instead of the standard 35.
-
A demonstration of Carneline's damage buff during Power Outages.
- Rare Item Drops
NOTE: The chance for dropping the Strange Crystal as described below is temporarily removed.
Upon death, they have a 1 in 8 (12.5%) chance to drop a Carneline Striker and, in rarer cases, can drop a Strange Crystal. However, the chance of dropping a Strange Crystal also depends on how high the Carneline's infect streak was before dying, the higher the streak, the higher the chance. A Strange Crystal will only have the potential to drop after 3 infects, and is guaranteed to drop at 20 infects or more.
The chance for the Strange Crystal works as so:
15 + [(Streak - 3) * 5] = Random
Random
= Generated number from 0 - 100, effectively operates the percentage chance.
Streak
= Player's current infection streak. It must be 3 or higher to have any chance to drop a strange crystal.
-
A practical visualization of the listed equation.
Acquirement
Carnelines can be obtained via infection through the large, red crystals in the Crystal Cave during a Power Outage or by being infected by another Carneline Raytraxian.
Bestiary Entry
With reddish-pink, crystalline horns and growths covering their bodies, Carnelines only appear to show themselves during the power outages the facility may spontaneously experience. Keep an eye on the crystals in the cave when power outages occur. |
Trivia
- Carnelines were the first community-designed Raytraxians to be featured in Kaiju Paradise and were also the first Raytraxians to have their own blinking animation.
- It was released alongside its own event on V1.9.
- It was replaced with Manic in V3.1R.
- Carnelines were initially based on the tiny red crystals in Crystal Caves.
- The head developer, BlaxorReborn, took interest on this concept and implemented it into what would become the Power Outage later on.
