'''Kaiju''' are non-event [[Gootraxians]] in ''Kaiju Engine''.
They resemble their ''Kaiju Paradise'' version greatly. The main differences are having more fur around their body, and having light blue stripes similar in color to the crystals on its waist and arms. Their jaws also now have the color of their underbellies.
==Abilities==
===Larger Size (Passive)===
While this mostly appears to only be a visual difference, '''Kaiju''' are slightly larger in size compared to other Gootraxians, being 1.1x larger.
==Acquirement==
'''Kaiju''' can be obtained via infection through the blue crystals in the map or by being infected by another Kaiju Gootraxian.

Kaijus are the titular Raytraxians in Kaiju Paradise.

They appear to be large, dark-blue reptilian humanoids with a lighter blue underbelly and glowing, blue crystal spines running along their backs and tail. They have very blue colored eyes with light blue irises, a bright light blue tongue and dark blue claws on their lighter blue hands and feet.

Abilities

Increased Health (Passive)

Kaijus have much more health compared to other Raytraxians, with a total of 125 HP.

Larger Size (Passive)

Kaijus are slightly larger in size compared to other Raytraxians, being 1.1x larger.

Rare Item Drops

Upon death, they have a 1/8 (12.5%) chance to drop a Kaiju Basher. They also have a chance to drop a Strange Crystal, but this chance varies depending on how high the Kaiju's convert streak was before dying, the higher the streak, the higher the chance. A Strange Crystal will only have the potential to drop after 1 convert and is guaranteed to drop at around 15 converts.

Ion Beam

Kaiju can fire up an Ion Beam that comes from their mouth, dealing with incredible damage to targets that are directly exposed to it, dealing around 33 damage per second. The Ion Beam has a 2.5 second charge-up before the ion beam starts blasting for 11 seconds. Kaiju is immune to damage but has a slowed movement speed during the use of the ability.

Targets that are hit with the Ion Beam will be inflicted with a 5 second burn damage, dealing 2 damage per second.

Kaiju's charge-up can be interrupted and stopped by any weapon that inflicts stun, though it'll only interrupt the ability if Kaiju's omen bar is active.

When Kaiju performs the Ion Beam, a muffled laser beam sound will emit from their character.

Ion Beam Statistics
Stat Value
Raw Damage 9 Damage
Damage Per Second 33 DPS
Tool Cooldown 11 Seconds
Ability Cooldown 60 Seconds
Effects Burn, Invincibility, Slowed Movement

Acquirement

Kaiju can be obtained via conversion through the blue crystals in the Crystal Caves, standing in the Caves for too long or being converted by another Kaiju.

Mutation

If standing in the lower part of the Crystal Caves for too long as a human, they will start losing HP and crystals will start to grow on their body near death which remain after turning into a Kaiju or any other Raytraxian. The crystals are in random places of the body each time.

Turning into a Raytraxian will not remove any crystal mutations, meaning crystal mutations are permanent until the user dies or leaves the game.

Bestiary Entry

Current

A lumbering behemoth, known for their size and crystalline shimmer. These crystals vary in size and placement, but are mostly seen along the back and down the tail of the creature. Kaiju's are able to harness the electricity found in these crystals and use their internal gas to ignite a bight blue flame! Setting all ablaze that stand in their iconic beams wake... while the beam is powerful, it is costly to the kaiju's health, draining their energy if used for a prolonged amount of time.

Kaijus tend to be passive aggresive, and are very territorial. If provoked, these tanky beasts will not hesitate to lash out, but... if you keep your distance, they will leave you be... most of the time.

Crystal Chasm, also known as "Kaiju Cove", is their main territory. They are often found lurking about the Chasm. These crystals found within the cove are past kaijus.. fallen due to the sheer size of their crystals. They have continued to build and grow since. While the cave is lacking in resources.. we believe kaijus themselves are able to "grow" these crystals. This cove is known to have its own.. "smog".. it is highly dangerous, avoid at all costs. Even Raytrax species aren't immune to its potent radiation poisoning.

Pre-V3.2

A giant lizard-like creature that slowly has crystals growing outside of it's back. These crystals may vary in size and placement, but are mostly seen along the back of the creature.
Kaijus tend to be passive aggressive, and are very territorial. These tanky creatures tend to attack when provoked, but if you keep your distance, they will leave you be... most of the time.
The crystals in the main cave are actually shed scales that built up overtime. Touching any of those scales appear to be infectious, be careful of them.
Kaijus love spending time in the crystal caves or near water. While they do not swim often, they have shown to be very mobile in water and almost more aggressive.
Refrain from going near any of the large blue crystals inside the cave.

  • Kaiju is one of the only few Raytraxians who can outright kill survivors.
    • In this case, they can do so using their Ion Beam ability.
  • Kaiju's Ion Beam can damage other vending machines, much like Hazzy's weapons.
  • When Kaiju performs the Ion Beam ability, an unique face can be seen (See Gallery, Expressions for the face images), which is similar to the Grab face, but with the eyes and mouth fully open and the pupils completely slit.
    • This can be also seen in the Bestiary icon when hovered.
      • However, on the 2024 April Fools Event, the unique face was changed into an image of "Shoop Da Whoop" from the meme of the same name.
  • This is one of the Raytraxians to have an unique idle animation, with the other being Fed, Shade and Night Shade, and Jammer
    • Due to this, when standing still while facing forward, it's head is seen slightly looking to the right.
      • Oddly, when closely looking at the animation, it seems to have a very low amount of keyframes.
  • When Kaiju uses the Ion Beam ability, there are 2 animations, one with the arms forward, and another with the arms back.
    • Oddly, the other animations used when the ability finishes are swapped together.
  • A secondary version of Kaiju's Christmas game icon exists, where Kaiju does not have a Christmas hat but instead has bubbles and text saying "KP" in the background. This icon was seen before and after the V3.1 Anniversary Event before the June 2023 Update. See Gallery, Miscellaneous for the image.
    • Oddly, this icon, including the christmas one and the V3.1 Party Bash one, use the Kaiju's V3.1R design.
  • Prior to V3.1, the Kaiju's fur around its head was a recolor of the Beautiful Hair for Beautiful People, a hair accessory made by the official Roblox account.

Bugs

  • There was a bug in which the character model for the Kaiju would lose it's head details and go "bald" after resizing.
  • There was a bug where, if you have a Catte bucket or a Fed fedora on your head, turn into a Kaiju, and then wait until the bucket seems to be ejected out from your head, you would then have delayed controls and get stuck inside said transmogrifying item until it despawns. This bug could cause the Kaiju be easier to kill since they would no longer move while stopping.
  • Kaiju's Bestiary Entry used to cut off after "... Even Raytrax" due to the large amount of text in its entry.
