Azarue is a plant based Raytraxian covered in orange flowers. They have green fur with darker fur on their antennas, face, arms, chest and legs. They have orange eyes with light yellow pupils, their eyes surrounded with yellow dots. A large orange flower sits on Azarue's flat, bushy tail. White particles appear at the center of the flower tail.

Abilities

Reduced Damage (Passive)

Due to Azarue's Attack doing residual poison damage, in an attempt to balance the passive, Azarue deals 33% less damage with their Attack and Grab.

Poison Gas (Passive)

Azarue can inflict a poisonous gas that slowly drains a Human's HP, which lasts for 5 seconds. If the Human is hit by a Azarue while the poison is active, the timer for the poison damage resets. However, if a Human is wearing a hazmat suit, they will experience three times the usual damage from the poison. Additionally, if the Human has recently hit the tree or if it has been cut down, the poison damage will be multiplied by 1.5x. When a human dies to the poison gas, it will not add to the Azarue's convert streak unless they dealt a large amount of damage to the human beforehand.

Acquirement

Azarue can be obtained by waiting for 35 seconds after smelling the Strange Flower that spawns in the Laminax Garden, losing all your health to the large flowers in the Cave Garden, or by being converted by another Azarue Raytraxian.

The dialogue after smelling the flower goes as follows:

• Out of your curiosity, you decided to smell it..
• What a beautiful scent..

After a short time this dialogue appears before transforming into the Raytraxian:

Bestiary Entry

A conscious plant, displaying a array of orange and yellow pedals. Along side dark green leaves and... antenna? While this subject doesn't have a direct animal comparison; it displays traits from insectoids, such as travelling in groups, foraging, and assisting fellow raytraxians. An Azarue's temperament has shown to be docile, though visibly aggressive when things it loves is threatened. These specimens exhibit a deep connection to anything fauna or vegetation related, some even being observed with the ability to cause rapid floral growths within the suitable environments- such as the garden. It is recommended to keep an eye on them when this happens, as after spending their energy on growing vegetation; a hibernation of sorts begins. The Azarue will begin this process by laying upon a organic material, such as dirt or grass, and beginning root itself within the earth, growing multiple roots and partially burying itself. Although we are unsure how they sustain life while sleeping, it is assumed they act near exact to the original Azarue Plant, AZ-40. These hibernations have no documented time on how long they can last, some being brief intervals of hours, and others extending weeks, with no visible correlation to the individuals exerted energy. Our subjects seem to most enjoy roaming our Garden sector and being surrounded by familiar fauna, but have shown interest in seeing more.

• Due to Azarue's damage reducing passive, it is recommended to never use grab, as you will deal less damage to the player you're grabbing.

Trivia

• Azarue is the replacement of Plantix.
  • It shares the same ability and acquirement as its predecessor.
• Azarue's tail will glow during blackouts.
• Azarue's bestiary used to be a copy and paste of Plantix's entry.
  • During the same time, its bestiary icon was shown as blank before it was given one.
    • After Azarue's bestiary icon was added, its description was deleted and was shown as "N/A."
    • It later got its own unique description in V3.3.
• Before the V3.2 update, the Strange Flowers used to obtain Azarue shared the same design as Plantix's flowers.
  • The Strange Flowers have since been updated to match Azarue's flowers instead.

• Azarue was created without any reference images or artwork.
  • Its creator, Xotile, stated that Azarue was simply "made up" in Blender.
