Gootraxians are the opposing team to humans found in Kaiju Paradise. They are composed of a goo-like substance and are capable of infecting humans, turning them into fellow Gootraxians.

When a human player loses all of their HP or "dies" as a result of hazards around the map, they will turn into a Gootraxian. Some items and foods can turn them into a Gootraxian. A human being attacked by a Gootraxian may also turn into another one of their kind. Almost all Gootraxians can grab and attack humans, but there are other goos who possess unique abilities as well.

There are 31 Gootraxians in the game as of the current, most recent update.

Removed Transfurs

• Charem - Removed in V3D due to controversies regarding its creator, involving inappropriate actions made publicly online.
• Trystan - Removed in V3.1 per request from FoxxoTrystan, due to trust issues between both parties.
• ConeKat - Originally came from Resurgenced. Removed for the same reason as Trystan.
• Tiger Shork - Added in V3.0. Can no longer be obtained through normal means as of V3.1 onwards and was replaced by Lantern Shork. This is due to the design being too similar to the transfur of the same name from Changed.
  • It is still usable in private servers through the use of commands, as long as it had been unlocked in the bestiary prior to its removal.

Trivia

• In the previous game, The Underground Facility, the infected creatures were referred to as latex monsters, but due to copyright issues with the creator of the game it was based on, it was completely shut down, with TZB Studio beginning work on Kaiju Paradise and The Final Experiment instead shortly after.
• Carnelines were the first community-designed Gootraxians to be featured in Kaiju Paradise and were also the first Gootraxians to have their own blinking animation state implemented.
• The only transfurs to have been migrated from The Underground Facility to Kaiju Paradise are Charem, Protogen, Tiger Shork and Trystan. Three of these have been removed from the game for reasons stated under the previous heading.
  • Protogens have received a slight redesign since their incarnation in The Underground Facility<ref>https://discord.com/channels/786788486887768135/815998030963540028/859321616538533898</ref><ref>https://discord.com/channels/786788486887768135/815998030963540028/861508269784170526</ref>, and they will receive a complete design revamp in a future update.
  • Tiger Shorks have also had a slight design change since their prior incarnation in The Underground Facility before its removal.
• Catte were the first kind of Gootraxian to have an ability where an infectious item would be left behind after death, this item being its bucket.
  • They were originally going to wear a cone on their heads<ref>https://discord.com/channels/786788486887768135/815998030963540028/831305191210483742</ref>, but this was changed during their development due to similarities to a transfur in Changed: Special Edition.
• Kaiju are Kaiju Paradise's titular Gootraxians, and as such have been in the game since it was first publicly released.
• Any hair accessories being worn at the time of infection will change color depending on what Gootraxian you become.
  • Slime Pups, Slime Hounds, Dragon Pups and Dragon Fusions as well as Figs are the only Gootraxians that remove an avatar's hair accessories upon transformation.
• Slime Pups stealing bats was initially a mistake, but it was later decided that it would be kept as a usable ability.
• Currently, the Diamond Slime variants have the highest health out of all the Gootraxians at 900 HP; Dragon Pups and Slime Pups hold the lowest at 83 HP, without fusing and a hat, respectively.
• The Watermelon Shark Gootraxian's design is very similar to that of the Head Developer's avatar. Despite this, he claims it is not his fursona.

Known Bugs

NOTE: Most bugs that are noted here are from previous versions. They have been fixed and cannot be replicated in the game's current, most stable version.

• Wearing a certain avatar item would allow you to use the katana weapon as a Gootraxian. This could be done if the player rapidly switched between katana skins in Abble's Shop.
• A bug where this hat would not be removed upon transformation.
• Slime Pups were able to purchase bats from Abble's Shop.
• You would be able to do a combo attack & grab to the person after they escape grab or if you cancel it.
  • This was fixed by making the grab have cooldown upon equipping it.
• Goo grabs can be used to glitch people out of the map or to the void.
  • This was mostly fixed, but can still happen rarely from time to time.
