The Taser is a "secondary" weapon/Transmogrifying Item in Kaiju Paradise. It is a small, blue and black electrical taser with a yellow lightning symbol on the front.
Properties
The Taser is capable of stunning and knocking back most targets it hits, serving as a one-time use item that breaks after hitting a target. Walking into any body of water with a taser equipped will electrocute the wielder, transforming them into a Ghost Fox, unless they're already a Gootraxian. Tasers can also be stolen by Slime Pups unless the user is wearing a hazmat suit.
The Taser has a specific interaction with Ghost Fox healing them instead of damaging and stunning them.
Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The taser ran out of batteries..."
- The sound that plays when the Taser hits a target:
- The Taser shares the same swing sound effect as the Knife.
As of V3.1, the Taser currently has no skins.
Obtainment
The Taser cannot be obtained from Abble's Shop. However, they may be found scattered around the facility in specific spawn locations, which are listed in the Weapons page. Like all other common items, these spawn every 180 seconds (3 minutes).

Tips
Please note that most things listed in this section are not objective, and are not the "Correct" way to use them. This section is used to give advice to players who want to learn how to use their tools more efficiently.
- The Taser is practically worthless in any given scenario, being overshadowed by most if not all other weapons available to humans.
- It deals minimal damage, offers the same stun time as a Bat, has an excessively long cooldown, breaks after a single use, and may only hit one target at a time.
- On top of all of this, it can potentially kill you if you are not careful enough.
- It even benefits certain Gootraxians that get hit by it, such as healing a Ghost Fox for 30 HP instead of stunning them.
- Hitting a Protogen with a taser will "overcharge" it, prompting it to explode. The explosion is similar to Protogen's "self destruct" ability, except it doesn't kill the Protogen, deals less damage, and ragdolls all players within a certain radius.
- It deals minimal damage, offers the same stun time as a Bat, has an excessively long cooldown, breaks after a single use, and may only hit one target at a time.
- The Taser is good for knocking back Gootraxians, thus creating more space for you to run away from them if you are vulnerable or on low health.
Trivia
- The Taser is the only weapon in Kaiju Paradise that has been upgraded from an Item to a Weapon.
- Prior to its rework, the Taser was initially named "Broken Taser". It would emit small occasional smoke particles symbolizing that it was a “broken” taser.
- The Taser, along with Crystalized Bats, are the only weapons that a Hazzy can wield that can stun a Human.
- Prior to its complete rework, it was planned for the Taser to convert back into a Broken Taser after it broke, which would be how you transformed into Ghost Fox.
- This was scrapped later on, possibly due to being too complicated and unnecessary.
- It is planned for Hazzy to be injured when touching water with the taser equipped in a later update.
- Used to explode a Protogen and Dark Protogen to damage a large group of Gootraxians.
Bugs
- During the Taser rework, the Taser did not turn you into Ghost Fox upon contact with water.
