Hazmat Suit

Template:Gootraxian The Hazmat Suit is a form of protective gear for the humans that prevents certain damages to the player. It is found throughout the map at certain spawn locations, respawning every 360 seconds (6 minutes). Alternatively, if a hazmat suit is torn, it will immediately respawn in the respective location where it was first donned. Hazzy may also wear a Hazmat Suit, granting the Gootraxian unique abilites.

Upon wearing the suit, the text "You feel safer with this thing on.." will pop up. If you attempt to wear something else while donning the suit, the text "It's too tight, you can't take it off.." will appear. When it's torn apart, it will prompt the text "Your hazmat suit has been torn apart.."

Those with VIP in private servers or admins can get the hazmat suits by using the command :hazmat, hazmatsuit.

Appearance

The Hazmat Suit looks like a typical protective hazmat suit, with a yellowish coloration, colored bands as well as gloves. "Laminax" is written on the suit. Wearing one will override any clothing you are wearing, but not your accessories.

Effects

The damage you receive from infection hazards will be reduced significantly by 2 times from the original damage, reducing puddle damage from 30 to 13; It takes 8 hits from hazards for the hazmat to be destroyed.<ref>(example: Crystals, all puddles)</ref> This damage resistance scale depending on the durability. Instant-infection hazards<ref>(example: Shork Fins, Toxic Rabbit canisters)</ref> will be blocked by the Hazmat Suit once and tear it apart in the process.<ref>https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/510886407770734645/992742719736782889/unknown.png Hazmat Suit's functions explained, June 8 2021.</ref>

The Hazmat Suit also prevents the user from obtaining transmogrifying items and causes any user who has equipped one to lose the accessory. Nightcrawler Goggles however, can still be worn regardless if a Hazmat Suit is worn, and will not prevent the player from becoming a Nightcrawler. The Hazmat Suit also prevents the donning of any other wearable items, as attempting to wear something else with a Hazmat Suit on will prompt the text "It's too tight, you can't take it off.." and not allow you to wear the item.

It halves the poison damage from Plantix<ref>https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/510886407770734645/992742720038780998/unknown.png Update log of Hazmat Suit's resistance of Plantix poison, September 13 2021.</ref>, prevents the user from getting their items stolen by Slime Pups, and stops the user from being slowed down by ConeKat (before it was removed) and Sprinklekit's drip effect.

If the player is infected by a Gootraxian while wearing a Hazmat Suit or dies to a non-instant-infection hazard, the suit will begin to shake violently and tear apart, turning you into a Hazzy.

Trivia

• The clothes were designed and made by Stew Fox.
• After being torn apart, the cooldown will be ignored for a short amount of time. This is technically a bug.
• For April Fools 2022, the Hazmat Suit is changed to a clown suit.
  • Despite this, when turning into Hazzy, the original Hazmat Suit is still shown.
• The Hazmat Suit used to lower the damage and escape requirement on a Gootraxian’s grab attack, but this was removed for unknown reasons.
