Events

Events are limited, timed events that occur every 40-60 minutes in-game. There are exclusive Items, Gootraxians and met conditions for certain abilities that aren't able to be used in what is considered the more "normal" gameplay.

As of now, there are currently 3 known Events, with only 2 that are actively in the game.

Power Outage

The Power Outage is where the power is low and most lights and electronics go down, restored by only backup power. During this time, Abble's Shop will remain open. The atmosphere of the surroundings will turn into different shades of red, which includes the crystals, spikes and puddles with the entire map becoming darker than usual. Certain Gootraxians will also glow and access new abilities during this event.

The human safe zone barrier during this event will go down, leaving the survivors vulnerable to any Gootraxian attacks on the spawn until the power is back on.

You can create a Power Outage in Private Servers if you've survived the event in a public server before by doing the command :poweroutage, po (number seconds)

When a Power Outage occurs, the following messages will be shown at the bottom of your screen:

• "Sudden disturbance in the power grid detected."
• "Activating low power outage mode."
• "Please stand by..."

"Rise Of The Carneline" will play in the background. This event will last 750 seconds (12.5 minutes) before the power turns back on again.

Blackout

The Blackout is where the power is completely off and all lights & electronics go down with no backup power. The surroundings around will now be covered in fog and far more darker than usual. The crystals, spikes and puddles will glow white while the shark fins will emit blue light. Certain Gootraxians will also glow and access new abilities during this event.

Both the human safe zone barrier and Abble's Shop will shut down, leaving the humans far more vulnerable to any Gootraxian attacks on the spawn with the included inability to buy items and weapons from the shop.

The player UI is forced to be disabled, making players unable to see the nametag and health bar of other players. Humans will be able to access the fireaxe freely and flashlight during this event.

You can create a Blackout in Private Servers if you've survived the event in a public server before by doing the command :blackout, bo (number seconds)

When a Blackout occurs, the following messages will be shown at the bottom of your screen:

• "Sudden disturbance in the power grid detected."
• "Unable to initiate low power outage mode."
• "Please stand by..."

Within the first few minutes of Blackout, there is a 60% chance for Nightcrawler goggles to spawn within the map, with a 100% chance of spawning in the next Blackout if goggles did not spawn during the most recent Blackout. If they spawn, the following message will appear:

"[SERVER]: Something mysterious has been spawned into the map!"

During a Blackout, these messages will occasionally appear:

• "Something is coming.."
• "You saw something from the distance..."
• "You felt as if something is watching you from afar..."
• "Do you feel safe?.. "

"Lights Out" will play in the background. This event will last 750 seconds (12.5 minutes) before the power turns back on again.

Once the goggles spawn, the Blackout will extend by 50 seconds, and when someone turns into a Nightcrawler, it will extend by 550 seconds (~9 minutes) making it last for 1300 seconds (~21 minutes) in total rather than the standard 750.<ref>https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/858029724664463400/995361628440768512/we_calculated_it_all_wrong.png Exact calculation of BO extension upon goggles spawning, stated by developer Uranium, July 10 2022.</ref>

Purification

This is an upcoming event and the information currently on this page is outdated. Everything is subject to change upon release.

The Purification is where a cleaning protocol will be initiated and everyone has to get into a bunker to survive. When this happens, the emergency lights will turn on and the color of the crystals, spikes, puddles will change into a yellow-orange. There are no new exclusive Gootraxians in this event.

There will be an announcement that says the following:

"Attention please, a cleaning protocol has been initiated. Please locate your employee card and make your way to the nearest bunker. Any live specimen that is not in the bunker when purification starts will not survive. Purification starts in 8 minutes."

After this, there will be 2 phases that will happen on the event, the bunker countdown and purification countdown.

Bunker Countdown

Both humans and Gootraxians will need to find a limited keycard that spawns randomly around the map in order to get to the bunker. Whoever dies or gets transfurred while holding the keycard will drop them, letting others obtain that keycard. This lasts for 240 seconds and players must wait for the emergency bay door to open.

Purification Countdown

The emergency bay opens and players can finally enter it. In order to get into the bunker, they must have a keycard to enter by inserting it into the door input. In the bunker, there will be a Gootraxian and human safezone where they can stay. This lasts for 240 seconds.

After this, a deadly gas will be released into the area and the atmosphere will turn into a shade of yellow. Players outside the bunker will have the following text that says:

• "Something is wrong with the air.."
• "It's getting harder to breath.."
• "You can't move your body at all..."

After this text, players will be ragdolled and their screen slowly turns and blurs into darkness. Following that, players who survived will be teleported outside the emergency bay while those who don't will spawn back on the safe zone. Those who survive the event will get a purification crate and the badge "Ultima Purgare".

The event has a 10% chance of happening every 1 hour and "Not Enough Time" will play in the background during the event.

Trivia

• During the Power Outage event, the crystals will pulse to the drum set of music. The larger crystals will pulse on the kick drum while the smaller crystals will pulse on the snare.
  • This also occurs during Blackouts, although only the larger crystals appear to pulse.
• The concept for the Purification event, the audio, and of course music, can be attributed to Fishcracks.
