Revision as of 17:42, 3 November 2022
Weapons are your main form of defense in Kaiju Paradise as a survivor. Each weapon has differing stats from one another, with some even bearing unique abilities. All of the weapons in game have a universal cooldown system, even after switching or unequipping the item. This cooldown can be seen by the blue bar on the bottom of the screen. Most of them also have a durability seen by the green bar in which, when depleted, will break that item and render it unusable. Most weapons also cancel out a Gootraxian's Grab ability should they be grappling someone.
A majority of weapons are able to inflict a Stun or Ragdoll upon landing a hit, in which they will provoke the Omen Bar, which is the blue bar above a Gootraxians health. When filled, it prevents the Gootraxian from being stunned or ragdolled during its duration with the length of the omen and stun depending on the weapon used. Due to the omen bars being applied during the duration of a stun or ragdoll, the effective time before a stun may be inflicted once again can be calculated by simply subtracting the duration of the omen with the duration of the stun. This effective time will be displayed within the parenthesis under the Omen statistic.
Additionally, all weapons have a Max Hit statistic, which indicates the maximum amount of players that can be hit by a weapon in a single swing.
These weapons usually cannot be obtained normally by Gootraxians due to their paws, unless through illegitimate ways.
Public Weapons
These weapons are obtainable publicly and available to everyone. Some can be bought within Abble's Shop while others can only spawn around the map. Certain items, however, need to be obtained in specific conditions, such as killing a golden with a certain weapon to "goldify" it.
<tabber> |-|Regular=
Bat
Script error: No such module "Main".
"Batter up!"
The Bat can easily be purchased from Abble's Shop for free or found and picked up from certain locations around the map. The Bat is a versatile and reliable weapon due to its ease of access. The Bat can be stolen by Slime Pups, although, this can be prevented by donning a hazmat suit. Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The bat cracked and snapped in half."

Bottle
Script error: No such module "Main".
"Classic."
The Bottle cannot be obtained from Abble's Shop, however, it may be found scattered around the facility in specific spawn locations such as the shelves in the cafeteria, the shelf inside the human spawn and shelves within the hidden room. It can be used defensively in combat and can be stolen by Slime Pups unless the user is wearing a hazmat suit.
The Bottle ragdolls and pushes back the Gootraxian it hits. However, this item is one time use and will break after it hits a Gootraxian. Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The glass bottle broke."

Pipe
Script error: No such module "Main".
"Pipe."
The Pipe is a improvised weapon that can be found around the map in various locations. The stats are better in comparison to the bat by a bit, with slightly increased damage and swing speed, although its stun time is shorter than that of the bat's. The pipe cannot be stolen by Slime Pups. Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The pipe snapped in half."

Sledgehammer
Script error: No such module "Main".
"This bad boy is pretty heavy."
The Sledgehammer is an item can be found around the map in various locations and cannot be bought from Abble's Shop. It deals the highest damage in the game currently in terms of a single hit and ragdolls only on direct hits. Otherwise, on an indirect hit, it deals a modest amount of splash damage and stuns Gootraxians instead. It's slow swing makes it harder to land consistent direct hits, making it more suited for direct hits on stunned or ragdolled players.
Despite having the highest damage, it currently has the longest weapon cooldown in the game, tied with the Scythe, as such the Sledgehammer rewards precise, direct hits with heavy damage. The Sledge Hammer cannot be stolen by Slime Pups. Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The hammer snapped in half."

Bricks
Script error: No such module "Main".
"Brick'em."
Bricks can be purchased in Abble's Shop for 6 tokens, or can be found in random places around the map. They are a throwable projectile tool that can be used to knock out and ragdoll Gootraxians for just a second.
They were designed to knock Gootraxians off crystals and counter those who camp crystals in the Crystal Caves. Upon coming into contact with a crystal and waiting for a second, the crystal will burst with energy depending on where it hit, dealing a small amount of damage and ragdolling any players nearby for 3.5 seconds. It may also pair with weapons such as the sledgehammer. When clicked, 3 bricks will be thrown in a tight spread. The Bricks cannot be stolen by Slime Pups and, upon running out of durability, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "You ran out of bricks."

Katana
Script error: No such module "Main".
"Samurai Sword."
Like the Sledge Hammer, the Katana cannot be bought from Abble's Shop and can be found around the map instead.
When attacking with the Katana, the player will perform a three part combo, each slash dashing the player forwards with the last attack ending the combo with a spin-slash and entering its cooldown period, which also slows the player for its duration. The Katana is versatile weapon, offering both superb offensive capability and great utility. The first two slashes of the combo, due to their shortened cooldown, allows for a quick switch to other weapons. Furthermore, the dash helps finish off Gootraxians and facilitates a hasty retreat if needed. Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The katana snapped in half."
The Katana, unlike other weapons, does not incur the Omen Bar nor Stun.

Axe (Fireaxe)
Script error: No such module "Main".
"Chop chop."
The Axe can be only obtained during Blackouts or when the amount of Gootraxians in the server is above 20. The cases in which it can be found are placed around the map, opening during those conditions. If the case closes before a player is able to properly grab the axe, text at the bottom of the screen will read "I can't open it.."
The Axe is a direct upgrade to the bat, and subsequently, the pipe. Like the pipe, it deals the same amount of damage, but unlike the pipe, it sports a faster cooldown, and instead of inflicting a brief stun, it outright ragdolls the target. Furthermore, it swings vertically instead of horizontally. Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The axe handle fell apart."
The Axe cannot be stolen by Slime Pups. It is also the only weapon capable of cutting down the tree in the Garden, taking only 75 swings to cut it down.

Knife
Script error: No such module "Main". The Knife is a weapon that cannot be bought at Abble's Shop and instead can be found in the Cafeteria. The knife can be stolen by Slime Pups unless the user is wearing a hazmat suit. The knife has the smallest weapon hitbox in the game. As you are swinging with the knife, it may change its swinging direction randomly, varying from right to left swings. At the end of the swing, the knife is always flipped by the user after they use it.
By holding down after the attack animation, you can initiate a knife throw, allowing you to throw the knife and deal additional damage if if the hit is headshot, with multiplier of 1.25. Additionally, if the knife is thrown at a button of a door or gate, it will disable the button until the knife falls out, locking the door either shut or open. Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The knife broke." If, however, the player consumes the knife's durability by throwing it, it will instead say "You ran out of knives."
The Knife does not incur the Omen Bar, incur Stun or cancel out a Gootraxian's grab.

Crowbar
Script error: No such module "Main".
"Freeman?"
The Crowbar can be purchased from Abble's Shop for 8 tokens or random places around the map. Ill-suit for combat, the Crowbar deals less damage than the bat, but has a 2.25X damage multiplier to vending machines<ref>https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/510886407770734645/992738579161813082/unknown.png Update log of Crowbar dealing more damage on Vending Machines.</ref>; thus, making it the best weapon to use for breaking vending machines and obtaining colas and, by extension, tokens. Machete
Script error: No such module "Main". The Machete is a weapon that can only be bought from Abble's Shop for 11 tokens. It appears to be a generic Kukri with a rubber tape grip. With a slightly increased swing speed and more damage, the Machete acts as a harder hitting weapon, being able to consistently three shot most Gootraxians, albeit at the cost of a longer cooldown and shorter stun duration. It cannot be stolen by Slime Pups. Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The machete snapped in half."

Scythe
Script error: No such module "Main".
"It's good for long range."
The Scythe is a weapon that can only be bought from Abble's Shop for 14 tokens. Upon hitting a Gootraxian with the Scythe, they will ragdoll and get flung in the direction you hit them, knocking the Gootraxian away from you.
It has the longest range out of any melee weapon in the game, however, this comes at the cost of a longer cool down. Therefore, it is generally advised to use it primarily for its ability to block grabs, only utilizing it offensively to clear larger swathes of Gootraxians and relying more on secondary weapons. Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The scythe broke into a million pieces."
The Scythe has an unique ability in which it blocks grabs from Gootraxians at the cost of durability. The Scythe cannot be stolen by Slime Pups.

Chainsaw
Script error: No such module "Main".
""very strong!! CAREFUL!! dont touch edge!!"
Boasting the highest damage per second in the game, the Chainsaw is capable of tearing Gootraxians to shreds with ease. The Chainsaw deals 11 damage per hit, capable of hitting ~6.5 times in one second. Due to its immense power, the Chainsaw comes a variety of stipulations. When equipping the Chainsaw, your character will have to start the weapon, preventing you from attacking for 1.5 seconds. Additionally, during this animation or attacking, you will be slowed. It also does not incur the Omen Bar, incur Stun or cancel out a Gootraxian's grab.
The Chainsaw also takes up three inventory spaces, permitting you to only have two different items in total if you currently possess it in your inventory. The Chainsaw can be bought from the Shop for 35 tokens, however there can only be 1 Chainsaw currently in use, as attempting to buy one while in this case will result in Abble stating "sold out.. come back later!!" However, if one is available, you will be prompted with a secondary menu to confirm the purchase, as Abble will warn "you sure?? you can no be in here with THAT!!" Upon purchasing the Chainsaw, the following text will be displayed: "You will not be allowed to enter the safezone again in 15 seconds." After 15 seconds elapse, you will be teleported out of the safezone and unable to re-enter until the Chainsaw is discarded or broken.
Every five minutes, you will be revealed the gootraxian team, and you will receive the notification "Your location has been revealed.." while Gootraxians will receive "Someone here has a chainsaw.. They might be worth some more credits.." Furthermore, the Chainsaw will be shown on your back while unequipped. Upon infection or death, you will reward 350 credits.
Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The chain snapped into hundreds of pieces." The Chainsaw cannot be stolen by Slime Pups.

Kaiju Basher
Script error: No such module "Main".
"It goes boom!!"
The Kaiju Basher can be purchased from Abble's Shop for 7 tokens or by killing a Kaiju, which have 12.5% (1/8) chance to drop it. The Kaiju Basher cannot be stolen by Slime Pups.
The Kaiju Basher has slightly better stats than the normal bat, having much greater knockback power. Upon killing a Gootraxian, pieces of crystals will begin to fling out of them at an increasing rate until they explode. If the item breaks, it will explode, knockout and ragdoll Gootraxians that you swung at. Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The crystalised bat snapped in half."

The Carneline Striker can by killing a Carneline, which has 12.5% (1/8) chance to drop it. The Carneline Striker cannot be stolen by Slime Pups.
The Carneline Striker is identical to the Kaiju Basher and Panther Bombarder, however, it has a color scheme similar to the crystals during a Power Outage. Upon killing any Gootraxian near the crystals, lightning-like beams will fire off nearby crystals at the Gootraxian and cause them to explode. If the item breaks, it will explode, knockout and ragdoll Gootraxians that you swung at. Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The dark crystalised bat snapped in half."

It is similar to both the Kaiju Basher and Carneline Striker, but it has dark purple 'crystals' rather than the color of the crystals during a Blackout. Upon killing a Gootraxian, claw marks will appear around them, causing slashing sounds to be heard and eventually cause them to explode. |-|Golden= The golden weapons can be obtained by killing a Golden Pup, Golden Dragon Pup, or a Golden Slime Hound. Upon death, they will always drop a golden bat, which a player can pick up. If the player landed the very last hit on the golden variant with a certain weapon, it will automatically turn that specific weapon into a golden variant, displaying the message: "Your [weapon] has turned into something else.." Each golden weapon leaves behind a sparkling, golden trail.
Golden weapons are essentially buffed version of the regular weapon, typically dealing a higher damage and having more durability. They have an unique hit noise and will "goldify" any Gootraxian killed with it's usage. It cannot be re-obtained by any other means if you die, leave the game or get transfurred besides killing another Golden Slime and through illegitimate ways.<ref name=":0">(Example: Admin commands or exploits.)</ref> Golden weapons cannot be stolen by Slime Pups.
Golden Weapons do not have any skins.

Golden Bat
The Golden Bat can be obtained by killing a Golden Slime variant with a bat if they landed the very last hit on them or upon the Golden Slime's death, in which they always drop a golden bat that any survivor can pick up.
Golden Bats, unlike regular bats, have the ability to knockback Gootraxians along with an substantial increase in damage, as well as the highest durability in the game. However, this comes at the cost of a longer cooldown. Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The golden bat snapped in half."

Golden Bottle
The Golden Bottle can be obtained by killing a Golden Slime variant. Upon landing the last hit with a regular bottle, it will turn into its golden variant automatically. Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The golden glass bottle broke."
The Golden Bottle can be said to be a joke weapon, mainly due to it's comically high knockback that can fling a player across the entire map. It also has a buff in damage, but the durability still remains the same.

Golden Pipe is not recommended as a golden weapon to obtain as it's statistics are equal to a regular pipe.

Golden Sledge Hammer is currently the best weapon in terms of damage, due to it's ability to 2-shot most of the Gootraxians currently in-game, which bodes well with it's higher durability.

Golden Katana
The Golden Katana can be obtained by killing a Golden Slime variant. Upon landing the last hit with a regular katana, it will turn into a golden variant automatically. Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The golden katana snapped in half."
The Golden Katana is the best weapon in-game for more aggressive play as it has a considerable damage buff, but despite this it has less durability than the normal Katana. Like its non-golden version, it features a three hit combo, but due to its faster cooldowns for its first two swings, it is slightly more effective. It can also be used in conjunction with a normal Katana, allowing for a damage potential upwards of 100 damage in two slashes from both weapons.

A .357 revolver with an 8 inch barrel introduced in 1955, the Colt Python is an iconic revolver famous for its imposing frame and solid function. Trivia
General
- Before V3.1, all weapons had a predetermined spot as to where they spawned.
- Few still do after the update, but most of them are now random.
- You can fix your bat weapon by switching the skin back and forth on Abble's Shop, this fills the durability bar back completely. This is still in the game and it's unknown if it is a bug or not.
- You also used to be able to fix other weapons by doing this, allowing you to have an "infinite" durability as long as you keep doing the method.
- All stealable items can be stacked and have multiple of it in the inventory by getting the items Slime Pups is holding. It is unknown if this is a bug or not.
- The Scythe was made by Blaxor, but Deathtrap#6258 or Darrealisboss had won a contest in TUF and had requested for the Scythe to be added <ref>https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/971981239764516884/999208406210576414/unknown.png Blaxor made the model.</ref>.
- For a brief period of time after the Axe's implementation of newer animation, the hitbox was briefly overextended.
Weapon Notes
- On the April Fools 2021 event, guns were available in the shop for a limited time<ref>https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/510886407770734645/992738579619008552/unknown.png Update log - April Fools 2021.</ref>.

Post-V3.1
- Upon the release of V3.1 Part 1, the knife was able to kill Gootraxians instantly with just one hit.
- The Absolute Zero skin's kill effect could kick people out of the game due to the anti-cheat system that activates when the body parts are removed.
- The Goldify knife skin, when thrown, will appear to be thrown higher than what it was. However, it will still hit the intended target.
- Overseer machete skin's kill effect can make transfur accessories that are droppable such as buckets or shades go invisible, but can still be worn like usual upon stepping on it, making it act as an invisible "landmine".
- Because of the Roblox March 2022 Music update, many sounds within the game used to be broken. This included the music that certain weapons skins would play.
- For a very brief period of time, it was possible to clip through walls with the axe's new animation.
|-|Pre-V3.1=
Pre-V3.1
- Upon the release of the katana, you were able to stack the weapon until your inventory was full.
- A Katana's dash can sometimes fling or launch the player on certain places or conditions, or not make you dash at all. While the detection system got reworked, it can still rarely happen.
- When you use a Kaiju Basher and kill a Goo while they are grabbing someone, the person who is grabbed cannot move at all or reset until they leave the game.
- Some weapons that can ragdoll / knockback such as bricks or scythes can immobilize targets for a certain amount of time or fling them really far if done correctly, this can still occasionally happen, although it is very rare.
- There are some ways to bypass the weapon cooldown by using bugs:
- FPS boosters.
- Doing certain complicated methods.
- Hazmat Suits, immediately after being torn apart, in which it'll be ignored for a short window time when timed right.
- Hitting a tree where it gets ignored for a short window time.
- Upon the start / end of event such as Blackout or Power Outage. Timing it right will ignore it for a short window time.
