Axe

The Axe (or Fireaxe) is a melee weapon only accessible if certain criteria in a server is met. It takes the appearance of an emergency fire axe, donning a long black handle, with a sharp, red and silver blade. Its golden variant, Jack, features a gold-plated scaly handle and a black head with golden accents, accompanied with a soft glow and sparkles.
Properties
The Axe is a direct upgrade to the bat, having improved stats in almost every regard. Instead of inflicting a brief stun, it outright ragdolls the target, which it's able to apply every 2.25 seconds due to its short omen. Furthermore, it swings vertically instead of horizontally, making it well suited for particularly jumpy adversaries and one-on-one combat.
Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The axe handle fell apart."
Jack shares the same properties as its normal counterpart, but deals increased damage and boasts a much higher knockback, making it a far more effective weapon overall. It also has a more traditional horizontal swing that almost completely surrounds the user, making it much more effective at taking on multiple opponents at once. Jack also has a special passive that deals increased damage to ragdolled targets.
Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "Jack fell apart."

- The Axe, Knife, Machete, Sledgehammer, Katana and the Crowbar, share the same breaking sound effect.
As of V3.3, the axe currently has no skins.
Obtainment
The Axe can be only obtained during Blackouts or when the amount of Raytraxians in the server is above 20. The cases which hold it are placed around the map, opening during those conditions and providing an infinite supply of axes.
If the case closes before a player is able to properly grab the axe, text at the bottom of the screen will read "I can't open it.."
Jack can only be obtained by getting a 30 Kill/Infect streak with an Axe used for the 30th kill.

Tips

- The axe is an incredibly powerful weapon as a successor to most others, boasting a short cooldown, adequate damage, and capable of ragdolling and knocking back the target rather than stunning them, being backed up by its short omen duration.
- As powerful as it is, however, it tends to tear through its durability quite easily, is able to hit only two targets at once and sometimes makes a poor compliment to other weapons, due to its short stun duration and in some cases, its knockback.
- In spite of this, the axe makes a very practical weapon in solo play, much like the Machete.
- Its availability should also be taken into consideration; in most cases, axes are often not available with the exception of Blackouts, which grant an infinite supply of them.
- As powerful as it is, however, it tends to tear through its durability quite easily, is able to hit only two targets at once and sometimes makes a poor compliment to other weapons, due to its short stun duration and in some cases, its knockback.
- The knockback of the axe can be used to push Raytraxians into the laser gate at spawn, dealing significant damage.
- Due to its swinging animation, the axe offers more ease in hitting opponents both high and low in comparison to most other weapons, though this sacrifices hitting the area around the user.
Trivia
- The axe, and its golden counterpart were able to cut down the Garden Tree alongside the Chainsaw.
- Hazzy was granted the ability to hold axes in the 2024 April Fools event, and was kept as a permanant feature after the event ended.
- In the past, Slime Pups were able to steal the Axe from humans without hazmat suits, along with the now-removed Pipe.
Bugs
- For a brief period of time after the Axe's implementation of newer animation, the hitbox was briefly overextended.
- Back when the trees in the garden could only be cut down by axes and chainsaws, there was a bug that made the aforementioned weapons unable to cut them down at all.
