The update, alongside giving the map a festive feel, added a new room to the facility, which can accessed in either the Flooded room or the Garden Cave. The V3.1 Late Winter Event Update was a limited time event on Kaiju Paradise. It was released on February 2022.

The update introduced 2 new Raytraxians, a new currency, 3 new crates, a new map and a bunch of new mechanics.

Raytraxians

This update added 2 new Raytraxians, Sprinklekit and Nightcrawler.

Sprinklekits are ice cream cat Raytraxians obtained by consuming 5 ice cream cones from the Cafeteria, or by being converted by another Sprinklekit Raytraxian.

Nightcrawlers are reptilian Raytraxians exclusive to Blackouts that are obtained by either wearing the Mysterious Goggles that sometimes spawn during blackouts, or by being converted by another Nightcrawler Raytraxian.

Festive Raytraxians

This update introduced the Festive mechanic. For the duration of the event, every first 5-convert streak you get will grant you a Santa hat, or for specific Raytraxians, a special winter-themed version. Slime Pups are an exception to this as they cannot convert survivors. Instead, they have a random chance of being festive.

As of the end of the event, Festive Raytraxians can only be seen in private servers by using the :fg, :festivegootrax commands. They can also be seen in public if an administrator or moderator is in the server and executes said command.

Below is a gallery of all Raytraxians that have unique festive outfits.

Currency

There were numerous Candy Canes that scattered across the map, which come in 2 variants: regular and golden. Regular Candy Canes gave you 3 while kill/converts will only give you one. Golden Candy Canes spawned around the map with a 5% chance and collecting them will give you 5 .

Crates and Skins

The crates obtainable in this update were the Blue, Green and Red Gifts. They costed 130, 225 and 360 , respectively.

Blue and Green Gifts have the same contents with Green Gifts having a higher chance of rarer skins. Red Gifts only had rare, ultra rare and legendary skins and had a very high chance of obtaining a legendary.

Skins

Below is a list of every skin added for this event.

Trivia

  • For the duration of the event, the price of the gifts gradually went up every day for unknown reasons.

Map

This update includes the standard map, albeit with a festive feel to it. While the main structure remains the same, all locations have been slightly modified to fit the atmosphere: the rooms had lights and gifts with some snow and decorative candy canes scattered around the map. Most notably, the Cave Garden was updated to be snowified, with dead trees and lack of "moss".

The radios across the entire map play different music, all being covers of famous songs recreated by Fishcracks.

The 2025 Late Winter Event is was a limited time event in Kaiju Paradise. While the main part of the event started on February 18, 2025, with a few new skins being introduced on May 16, 2025. The event ended on June 22, 2025.

Along with the features that were previously seen in Late Winter 2022, the update also included a few additions, including the reintroduction of Errands, a couple of map changes, and the introduction of openable presents as a means of gaining Candy Canes and other items.

Crates and Skins

Similarly to the 2022 Late Winter event, the crates obtainable in this update are the Blue, Green and Red Gifts. Originally, the 2022 gifts costed 90, 165 and 310 , respectively. However, after the introduction of the 2025 gifts, the costs of the 2022 gifts were decreased, with them now costing 70, 140 and 265

The event also introduced new gifts, with the new gifts costing 90, 165 and 310 , respectively.

Skins

Below is a list of every new skin added during the event.

The event would also add some other skins, as listed.

Currency

Candy Canes return as a form of currency in the event, with some slight changes:

  • Regular Candy Canes now give out 1 , as opposed to 3 in the 2022 Late Winter event.
  • Golden Candy Canes now give 10 , as opposed to 5 in the 2022 Late Winter event.
  • Candy Canes can now also be obtained by either completing Errands or by opening presents.
    • Candy Canes that are dropped by small presents give out 1-2 each, while Candy Canes dropped by large presents give out 2 each.

    • Indirect kill/converts, however, give out 3 . Assists do not give out any Candy Canes.

Map

The update, alongside giving the map a festive feel, also saw a couple of changes to its layout.

Non-event Changes

The update added a new room to the facility, which can accessed in either the Flooded room or the Garden Cave. The Garden Cave was also expanded, with it gaining a more expanded catwalk system and a door that leads to the aforementioned room. Event Changes

Most of the locations in the map were, as previously mentioned, decorated to give it a festive feel.

Most of the map was covered in snow, with lighting and other festive decorations placed around the map. Notes

  • During the event, one could find Grug from The Croods frozen within one of the icicles in the Flooded Area.

Mechanics

Presents

Presents were introduced in the event as a means of gaining candy canes and other items. Presents will spawn around the map over time in predetermined locations, as opposed to randomly spawning like other event items in previous events, likely to prevent them from spawning outside of the map. Unlike the party gifts that were seen in the 2024 Party Bash Event, the presents seen in the Late Winter event requires one to hold down a button until it is opened. The update added three types of presents:

  • Small presents: These are presents that, when opened, provide a small amount of Candy Canes, with each cane giving 1-2 . These can be identified by their brightly-colored wrappings and their cubical shapes.
  • Large presents: These presents, when opened, produces a large amount of Candy Canes, with each candy cane giving out 2 . They also have a chance of providing the opener with a either a Bat, an Axe, Bricks, a Sledge Hammer, a Katana, or a Long Pipe. The presents, however, will not give out any normally-unobtainable weapons (ex., Super Stool), and golden variants of the aforementioned weapons. They can be identified by their colorful wrapping, but can be differentiated from the small presents by their size.
  • Long presents: These presents, when opened, gives the person who opens it a random firearm that isn't either Staff-only, or a heavy firearm (i.e., miniguns, RPG-7). The firearm that is provided, however, will be given with reduced durability, and will lose more durability per shot. These presents can also be identified by their colorful wrapping, but can be differentiated by their elongated shape, when compared to the normal presents.

Notes

  • Due to the fact that anyone can open the presents, it is possible for any Raytraxians to obtain a weapon from either the large present or the long present.
  • The presents' ability to give out firearms makes the 2025 Late Winter event the third event where guns were available in public servers, along with the 2021 and 2022 April Fools events.
    • Additionally, the event marks the second instance where guns were both available and functional, with the 2021 April Fools event being the only other instance of this being the case.
    • Due to the fact that any raytraxians can obtain firearms, the 2025 Late Winter event marks the first time where both humans and raytraxians can use firearms in a public server.

Errands

Errands were reintroduced in the event update, with players now being able to obtain them by talking to a cardboard cutout of Sam.

Other

  • An announcement tab was added to the top right corner of the screen. It contained the following message:
hi im releasing the "winter" event early. 3.4 is taking a while, so we are putting the event related stuff early so people have time to get the event currency. for now, currencies will spawn generically, and players can earn candy through cardboard sam, mutating, killing, or around the map. new winter skins will release during 3.4 as well as major optimization, reworks, and additions. thank you for your patience code is: uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Miscellaneous Notes

  • The 2025 Late Winter Event was originally scheduled to be released along with 3.4. However, it was released early due to 3.4's increasing complexity and, consequentially, longer time for it to be finished.
    • Due to the same reasons, the event ended before 3.4 was released, coinciding with the update's fragmentation into smaller updates.
