The Shovel is the player's primary weapon in Kaiju Paradise. It has the appearance of a typical wooden baseball Shovel.
Properties
A versatile and reliable weapon due to its ease of access, the Shovel, while not as powerful as it's contemporaries, offers a solid baseline. Its wide swings offer a relative ease in hitting Gootraxians, and its decent cooldown allows it to serve well enough in most cases.
Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The shovel head fell off."

Trivia
- Before the Slime Gootraxians were removed, killing a golden variant used to guarantee a Golden Shovel drop on top of upgrading the weapon used to kill it. It was then changed to drop two random golden weapons instead.
- With the removal of the Slime Gootraxians, the only way to obtain golden weapons is through a 30 Kill/Infect streak.
- If a Hazzy obtains a Golden Weapon of any kind (excluding the Golden Crowbar), they will not drop the weapon upon their hazmat suit ripping. It is unknown if this is a bug or not.
- In private servers, there was an exact copy of the Shovel called "TestShovel" which unlike the original one, didn't have an icon, had a very short cooldown, and did not retain skins.
- Based on its cooldown, it's likely the TestShovel was an unfinished placeholder for Ichiban.
