Fed

Template:GootraxianFed is a grey wolf Gootraxian that wears a dark grey fedora as an accessory. It lacks any body markings other than the jagged, light grey fur patterns on their wrists and feet, which share the same color as Fed's underbelly, neck fur and inner ears. Fed's eyes are a bright magenta pink color.

VIP Feds appear the same, except they are donned with a dark grey trench coat and armed with a Tommy Gun.

It is considered to be a counterpart of Shade due to their many similarities.

Abilities

Increased Health (Passive)

Fed has an increased health of 110 HP.

Adjust & Fedora Trick

If they have a fedora, they can adjust their neck fluff and do a fedora trick, in which they spin their hat. Both abilities are purely cosmetic and are unavailable if the Fed doesn't have a fedora.

Fedora Drop (Death)

When killed, the fedora from the Fed's head will drop to the ground, waiting to acquire a new host to transform.

Tommy Gun

The Tommy Gun is a melee weapon exclusive to VIP Fed. It is unable to be fired, making it only useful for attacking people by hitting them with the gun itself. Currently, it is the only weapon available to a Gootraxian.

Acquirement

Fed can be obtained by picking up a dark grey fedora found around the map. Though they can also be obtained via being infected by another Fed Gootraxian, you won't be able to wear the fedora.

VIP Feds have the exact same obtainment method, just with a 1/30 chance of obtaining it instead of a regular Fed.

When you wear the fedora, the following text will pop up, along with a third line appearing exclusively to VIP variants;

  • "A fedora has suddenly been placed on top of you..."
  • "Very classy.."
  • "A trench coat has been placed on you suddenly."

Tips

Please note that most things listed in this section are not objective, and are not the "Correct" way to use them. This section is used to give advice to players who want to learn how to use their tools more efficiently.

  • While the Tommy Gun might seem like a useless, weaker attack, it can actually be quite useful due to its much shorter cooldown, longer range, and ability to hit two targets with one swing instead of just one.
    • It is very similar to other weapons, such as the Knife and Nunchucks, due to being a fast, low damage dealing weapon. Because of this, it is highly recommended to use it similarly to those.
  • Despite being a Gootraxian exclusive weapon, the Tommy Gun can cancel your teammate's grab attack, so it isnt recommended to use it on a grabbed human.

Trivia

  • Fed's faces were changed on V3.1. They were changed due to its faces looking too questionable. <ref>https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/510886407770734645/992368769403998338/unknown.png Update log mentioning Fed's (including Shade and Night Shade's) faces, December 15 2021.</ref>
  • The fedora they wear used to be only dropped upon death once per player.
    • This is a bug, and has been fixed in a recent update.
  • In Experimental, Fed's transfur animation temporarily changed to Kaiju's transfur animation.
  • Fed and Hazzy are currently the only Gootraxians to wield a usable weapon.
    • Unless you count Catte and Buck, as they wield their buckets.
  • VIP Feds are apparently able to hold its Tommy Gun due to super glue, as stated by a developer.
  • It is possible to get a VIP Fed from dropped fedoras, even if its from a VIP.<ref>https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/858029724664463400/1049378674291523604/bronze_droppedaccessories.png Statement from developer Bronze for dropped shutter shades, headphones. Fedoras and sunglasses most likely apply to this as well.</ref> They all remain at the same chance of 1/30.
