Kaiju Engine Content

The following feature(s) is/are currently exclusive to the Kaiju Engine Combat Test game.

<tabber> |-|Normal=

The Crucible is the player's primary weapon in the Kaiju Engine. Its design is taken directly from the game DOOM: Eternal.

Properties

A versatile and reliable weapon due to its ease of access, the Bat, while not as powerful as it's contemporaries, offers a solid baseline. Its wide swings offer a relative ease in hitting Gootraxians, and its decent cooldown allows it to serve well enough in most cases. It can be stolen by Slime Pups, which can be prevented by donning a hazmat suit.

Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The bat cracked and snapped in half."

As of V3.1, the Bat currently has 84 skins.

Obtainment

The Bat can easily be purchased from Abble's Shop for free or found and picked up from certain locations around the map. These spawns are fixed and supply an infinite amounts of bats.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Has plenty of spawns around the map
  • Good stun time

Cons:

  • Long omen duration
  • Low Damage
  • Low Knockback
  • Low Raw Reach
  • Long Cooldown
  • Can be stolen by Slime Pups

Tips

Please note that most things listed in this section are not objective, and are not the "Correct" way to use them. This section is used to give advice to players who want to learn how to use their tools more efficiently.

  • The bat, despite its shortcomings, is actually a fairly decent weapon.
  • Its two second stun time makes it particularly effective in conjunction with other, harder hitting weapons such as the Sledgehammer, or better yet, the Chainsaw.
    • While other options maybe far more appealing, sticking with other players armed with these weapons (particularly the Chainsaw), can massively increase your effectiveness as a team.
  • If you're ever short of a weapon, the Bat is always there. A spawn can nearly always be found nearby, whether that's in Gas, the Cafe, or Crystal Cave, the bat has your back.
  • If there's ever too many Gootraxians, there's nothing wrong with grabbing a bat and throwing yourself repeatedly at the crowd until it begins to break. Remember, so long as you hit more than one of them, you'll be outdamaging more than they can heal.
  • Having a bat in your inventory is vital, as it is able to be used as a practical weapon to stun enemies or take down less hostile enemies without damaging other tools in your inventory.

Trivia

  • Killing a Golden Slime variant or its grave used to guarantee a Golden Bat drop upon death. This has since been changed to be a random assortment of 2 weapons between it and all other Golden Weapons, with the exclusion of the Golden Chainsaw.
  • Before the Chainsaw was added, the Golden Bat had the highest durability out of all weapons in-game.
