Pros:

• Extremely short cooldown
• Extremely high DPS
• Extremely high durability
• Can be bought from Abble's Shop
• Can't be stolen by slimepups

Cons:

• Most expensive item in Abble's Shop
• Can only have one per server
• Can only have 3 items in your inventory
• Reveals player to enemy team
• Cannot enter the safezone while having a chainsaw
• You move slower while using the chainsaw
• Have to go through equip animation before using

Trivia

• One of the parts in the Chainsaw's model, the handguard, is named "Scrub is ugly", in reference to how Scrub, one of the Wiki Contributors, is very ugly.
• The Chainsaw is unique in many different ways:
  • It is the first melee weapon to not have a cooldown after swinging it.
  • It is the first weapon to reveal where you are to other players.
  • It is the first weapon to show on your back when unequipped.
  • It is the first weapon to lower your maximum inventory space.
    • Despite this feature, it is possible to get more than 3 items while holding a chainsaw if the user picks up an item stolen by a Slime Pup.
  • It is the most expensive weapon to date, costing a whopping 35 tokens, surpassing the previous cost of the Scythe, which was 14 tokens.
  • It is the first weapon to have a cap on how many players can have it.
  • It is the first weapon to reward a player with extra credits upon killing its user.
    • In this case, it's 350 Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination with the normal chainsaw, and 1,000 Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination with the golden chainsaw.
    • A player will be rewarded with these credits even if you have thrown it away or broken it.
      • It has been confirmed that this is a bug, and will be removed in a future update.
• If you either attack a player transforming into a Slime Pup or the body of a dead gootraxian, you will lose weapon durability.
• Attempting to buy the Chainsaw whilst already having one prompts Abble to say "do you no already have this??" instead of the usual "you has this already!!".
  • Attempting to buy the Chainsaw as a gootraxian prompts the text "Abble won't give you the chainsaw." instead of the usual "hey!! u cant buy item!!! too goo!!"
• The icon for the Chainsaw in Abble's Shop used to disappear altogether if it was not available for purchase, but it has since been changed to have Abble tell you that it is out of stock and to come back later.
• Upon release in Kaiju Paradise Experimental, the Chainsaw had the ability to cut down the Big Tree in the Garden, giving the dialog, "What a waste..".
  • The update on October 21, 2022 later changed it to where hitting the tree with a chainsaw caused the user to explode and die instantly. On October 23, 2022, the game removed that feature and instead made the chainsaw unable to cut down the tree.
    • At a currently unknown date, the Chainsaw was once again given the ability to cut down the tree, though it will still give the player the dialog "What a waste.." upon doing this.
• Attacking a Gootraxian while using the Chainsaw in debug mode will not show any text at the bottom of the screen saying that the Gootraxian was hit.
• The Chainsaw does not check for collision when it hits an enemy, meaning that the Chainsaw can hit through walls and objects. This is very likely a bug.
• When a player using the Chainsaw dies, it will drop down from the players back and onto the floor eventually fading out and disappearing after a few seconds. Only the Chainsaw and the Golden Chainsaw have this effect.
