Nunchucks

The Nunchucks are a "secondary" weapon in Kaiju Paradise. They are two sticks of wood that are connected to each other at their ends by a short metal chain. Their golden variant, Kratos, is a pair of serrated blades connected to the user's arms via long metal chains attached by their handles.

Properties

The Nunchucks are essentially a remixed version of the Knife, having more exaggerated ups and downs compared to it. Said differences are listed below.

• The Nunchucks have a shorter cooldown and more range compared to the Knife.
• The Nunchucks have less damage, less max hit, less durability, and cannot be thrown.

Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The nunchucks broke."

Kratos has the longest range of any melee weapon in the game, making it a perfect tool to catch fleeing opponents off guard. Every third swing with the weapon will have the user throw the blades over their head and directly forwards, with successful hits forcefully pulling targets towards the user, stunning them for a short time. During the third swing's animation, the user is unable to move or turn their player model to change the swing's direction.

Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "Kratos broke."

As of V3.2, the Nunchucks have no skins.

Obtainment

The Nunchucks cannot be obtained from Bandit's Shop. Instead, they can be found scattered around the facility in four specific spawn locations, which are listed in the Weapons page. Like all other common items, these spawn every 180 seconds (3 minutes).

Kratos can only be obtained by getting a 30 Kill/Infect streak with Nunchucks used for the 30th kill.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

• High durability
• Extremely short cooldown
• Decent range

Cons:

• Extremely low damage
• Does not stun on hit
• Doesn't spawn often

Trivia

• The Nunchucks are erroneously named Nunchunks in-game.
• The Nunchucks used to be only obtainable in Private Severs. This was changed during the 2023 Anniversary event for unknown reasons, allowing players to use them in Public Servers. They remained in Public Servers even after the event ended.
  • The reasoning for their exclusion was confirmed by a developer, stating that the Nunchucks model was too detailed and might cause lag if too many players had it equipped.
• Developer Ronin stated in a Skin suggestion post that the Nunchucks will not be receiving any skins, and was planned to be removed in 3.2.
  • Given that the Nunchucks recieved a golden variant in V3.3.1, this is likely outdated and no longer true.
• The Nunchucks are the only weapon to recieve a Golden variant in V3.3.1 that did not have one beforehand.
