Machete

The Machete is a weapon that can only be purchased in Abble's Store. It appears to be a generic Kukri with a crude rubber tape grip.

Properties

"SHARP!!! watch out!!"

With a slightly increased swing speed and more damage, the Machete acts as a harder hitting weapon, being able to consistently three shot most Gootraxians, albeit at the cost of a longer cooldown and shorter stun duration. It lends well to being used for solo play, or in conjunction with stunning weapons. It cannot be stolen by Slime Pups.

Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The machete snapped in half."

Obtainment

The Golden Machete is a goldified weapon. It has the machete's appearance, but golden with a soft glow and sparkles.

Properties

The Golden Machete only further builds upon the Machete's high damage, allowing you to consistently kill most Gootrax in three hits. It can be seen as an alternative to the Golden Bat, sporting a faster cooldown but a lower durability.

Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The golden machete snapped in half."

Obtainment

The Golden Machete can be obtained by killing a Golden Slime variant or obtained by the randomly dropped gold weapon. </tabber>

Pros:

• Can be purchased at Abble's Shop
• Very good damage
• Long raw range
• Very good durability
• Can't be stolen by slimepups

Cons:

• Extremely low stun duration
• Long cooldown
• Low knockback

Tips

Please note that most things listed in this section are not objective, and are not the "Correct" way to use them. This section is used to give advice to players who want to learn how to use their tools more efficiently.

• The Machete is a more extreme version of the Pipe, doing even more damage and having more durability at the cost of an even longer cooldown, shorter stun duration, and less max hit.
  • It is recommended to use the machete if you don't plan on being in a large group for an extended period of time, as the stats compliment other weapons poorly.
• Machetes aren't very good for dealing with large groups of Gootraxians at once due to the lower max hit stat compared to other weapons.
  • On the contrary, they are one of the best weapons to use in 1v1s, since stun time and max hit don't matter in evenly matched fights, allowing its high damage stat to shine.
    • If you pair a Machete with a Katana, you can deal around 100 damage if you hit all 4 swings successfully. This is capable of killing most Gootraxians if you don't take passive healing into consideration.

Trivia

• If you use the Overseer skin and kill a Gootraxian that drops a transmogrifying item after death, the item will turn invisible, making it act like an invisible "landmine".
• A redesign for this weapon is planned for 3.2, giving the weapon a similar look to a Bush Machete.
