Axe

The Axe (or Fireaxe) is only accessible if certain criteria in a server is met. It takes the appearance of an emergency fire axe.

Properties

The Axe is a direct upgrade to the bat, and subsequently, the Pipe. Like the pipe, it deals the same amount of damage; but unlike the pipe, it sports a faster cooldown. Instead of inflicting a brief stun, it outright ragdolls the target, which it's able to apply every 2.25 seconds due to its short omen. Furthermore, it swings vertically instead of horizontally, making it well suited for particularly jumpy adversaries.

Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The axe handle fell apart."

The Axe cannot be stolen by Slime Pups. The Axe is one of the only two weapons capable of cutting down the tree in the Garden, taking 75 swings to cut it down. The only other weapon capable of cutting the tree down is the Chainsaw.

As of V3.1, the axe currently has no skins.

Obtainment

The Axe can be only obtained during Blackouts or when the amount of Gootraxians in the server is above 20. The cases which hold it are placed around the map, opening during those conditions and providing an infinite supply of axes.

If the case closes before a player is able to properly grab the axe, text at the bottom of the screen will read "I can't open it.." |-|Golden=

The Golden Axe takes the appearance of the Axe, but with a unique goldified appearance, retaining it's black grip and featuring a neon blade, accompanied with a soft glow and sparkles.

Properties

The Golden Axe shares the same properties as its normal counterpart, but deals increased damage and boasts a much higher knockback, making it a far more effective weapon overall. However, while an exceptional weapon, it burns through durability rather quickly as unlike other alternatives, the golden variant of the axe receives no buff to it's durability, which is only compounded by its quick cooldown.

Upon breaking, text at the bottom of the screen will say: "The golden axe handle fell apart."

Obtainment

The Golden Axe can be obtained by killing a Golden Slime variant or obtained by the randomly dropped gold weapon. </tabber>

Trivia

• For a brief period of time after the Axe's implementation of newer animation, the hitbox was briefly overextended.
• The axe, and golden axe, are able to cut down the tree, and were even reworked to use half durability when used against the tree in the garden. However due to a long-standing bug, it is not currently possible to cut down the tree with an Axe.
  • It is still possible to cut the tree down with a Chainsaw.
