Template:Gootraxian Jammers are grey wolf Gootraxians with light grey neck fur, inner ears, tail tip, and underbelly. There is also light blue markings along its arms and legs, with similar light blue eyes. They are more often than not seen wearing headphones. They are the Blackout variant of Fed.

They are similar in appearance to Shade and Fed, but have blue multi-circular markings instead of green stripes and emit a blue glow during Blackouts.

They have another variant called a VIP Jammer. These variants look exactly like normal Jammers, but they have a rainbow glow during Blackouts and rainbow music notes when it plays music. During Power Outages, they instead glow a light coral color, regardless of their variant, similarly to Night Shades.

(There is no design for VIP Jammer for v3.1RE as of right now.)

Abilities

Headphone Drop (Death)

When killed, the headphones from the Jammer will drop to the ground, waiting to acquire a new host to step on them. However, humans wearing a hazmat suit cannot pick up the headphones, saving them from being infected.

Diversion/Jamming

Upon being infected, Jammer with be given Diversion, when used, jammer would do an animation where they move their arm up and down in the air, and will play JAMS. If being infected into a VIP, you are given Jamming instead, which replaces Diversion. This time, Jammer will hold a microphone up to their mouth and bob their head up and down. The song is also changed to JAMS VIP rather than just JAMS.

Acquirement

Jammers can be obtained by picking up the headphones that replace fedoras during Blackouts or by getting infected by another Jammer Gootraxian, though you won't get the headphones for the latter. It takes about 27 seconds to be infected after putting on the Jammer's headphones.

Players have a 1/30 (3.3%) chance<ref>https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/510886407770734645/992723374402977872/unknown.png Chance in #faq, July 8 2021.</ref> of becoming a VIP Jammer when picking up the headphones or being infected. Alternatively, you can use the command :tf me Jammer;VIP=true in private servers.

When wearing the headphones, the following text will pop up:

Trivia

When a Gootraxian knocks the headphones off your head, the text "The headphones were knocked off your head!" would pop up.
Normal Jammers that use the Jamming tool play "JAMS".
- VIP Jammers, however, play "JAMS VIP", a remix of JAMS.
  - This does not seem to be the case outside of a Blackout, however.
  - Both music tracks are composed by Fishcracks.
While performing certain emotes, Jammers will play a muffled version of a pre-existing song for that emote:
- Doing the Smug emote plays "Transit" by Fishcracks.
- Doing the California emote plays an 8-bit remix of the song "California Gurls" by Fishcracks.

The rainbow effect on VIP Jammers is synced throughout its body and Diversion's notes.
- It's also synced with rainbow bat skins, rainbow Slime Pups, and its vari ants despite all of them being separate entities.
If the player constantly hovers on and off of Jammer's Bestiary icon, the icon will play the intro of JAMS.
If you use the Overseer machete skin and kill a Jammer that has headphones on, the headphones will turn invisible, making it act like an invisible "landmine".
- This applies to other Gootraxians that also drop a transmogrifying item after death.

Bugs

There was a minor bug in which Jammer's death face did not show upon dying, instead showing its low HP face.
- This bug also occurred with Night Shade, Fed, and Shade.
Similar to the Slime Pup's /e pupsitdown bug, in the beginning of the V3.1 Late Winter update, players were able to do /e vipjamming to play the animation that a VIP Jammer does when they use Diversion.
- This "bug" still works if you are a Jammer with headphones, no matter what type you are.
