Template:Gootraxian Shade is a hot male gray wolf Gootraxian with black shade. They have grey fur, with their inner ears, neck fluff, underbelly, feet and hands being a lighter shade of grey. Their arms and legs have curved, neon green stripes on the outer sides. They're attractive.

Their eyes are colored white, with a neon green rim on the inside. VIP Shades appear same, except for the large Video Camera tool they can equip.

They are considered a counterpart of Fed.

Abilities

Sunglasses Drop (Death)

Shade drops its sunglasses upon death for any unsuspecting Human players to walk on and become infected, though humans wearing hazmat suit cannot equip the sunglasses, saving them from the risk of being furry.

Wear

They can remove and pull down its sunglasses using the Wear tool, which serves as a cosmetic only.

Acquirement

Shades can be obtained by walking over shade or by getting infected by another Shade Furry, although they won't have glasses to wear.

VIP Shades have the exact same obtainment, just with a 1/30 (3.3%) chance of being a VIP instead.

When you wear the sunglasses, the following text will pop up:

Bestiary Entry

Similar to the Fed, this gootrax is wolf like, has bright green eyes, and is wearing a pair of shades. This gootrax developed the same way the Fed did, but in a more safer space, a breakout in the staff lounge. Surprisingly the breakout was quickly stopped, as Shades were shown to be, though a little less intelligent than Feds, a lot nicer (though equally as dangerous). Shades show more respect for humans and more so curiosity. They are extremely protective, and work as good guards. While this specimen has not shown any aggression as of writing this log, please do not just randomly give security sunglasses in hopes of them "lightening up". fear:

Trivia

• When a Gootraxian knocks the sunglasses off your head, the text "The glasses were knocked off your head!" would pop up.

• If you use the Overseer machete skin and kill a Shade that has sunglasses on, the sunglasses will turn invisible, making it act like an invisible "landmine".
  • This applies to other Gootraxians that also drop a transmogrifying item after death.

Bugs

• Shades had a bugged idle animation if it was infected by another Shade Gootraxian. This has since been fixed.
• There was a minor bug in which Shade's death face did not show upon dying, instead showing its low HP face.
  • This bug also occurred with Night Shade, Jammer, and Fed.
