A status effect icon for a possible Mocha ability was shown off in the <code>#Podcast-Discussion</code> channel, involving giving Gootraxian teammates a “caffeinated” buff that increased movement speed, paired with an accompanying status effect icon for when the buff ends, instead slowing the recipient down. Given that the concept of status effect icons hasn’t been revisited, and that the ability was created when Mocha was still named Mochi, it is unknown if this ability will still be added.

Several status effect icons were teased in the game's discord, scattered around in different channels. For the most part, only their icons were shown, but their effects can be inferred from the color and picture on the icon. Said icons are listed below:

*'''Poison'''
**Likely used for Azarue's poison debuff on their attack. (Possibly would have been used by Venomew and Plantix before they were scrapped/removed)
**Slowly drains the recipient's HP without directly being hit, with varying rates of damage and duration. (Only applicable stats would be 10 damage over 7 seconds, taken from Azarue's poison.)
*'''Protective Instinct'''
**Originally intended to be a passive ability for [[Slime Hound]], applied to all Slime Hounds of a specific color when a [[Slime Pup]] of the same color took damage. The buff would go away after a certain amount of time, or when the Slime Pup returned to full HP.
**Likely would have increased the recipient's damage dealt to other targets.
***Statistics for this status effect are taken from an ability suggestion for slime hound by a KP server member, as the icon was very likely inspired by the suggestion due to the creator of it being directly pinged when the icon was shown off.
***Due to the removal of the Slime Gootraxians, this specific status effect is likely scrapped, but could possibly return with the implementation of Shamrock and Snaptrap.
*'''Caffeinated'''
**Likely used for a planned Mocha ability, covered earlier in this article.
**Increases the recipient's movement speed and passive healing.
*'''Burnout'''
**Likely used for a planned Mocha ability, covered earlier in this article.
**Decreases the recipient's movement speed.

This is a collection of unreleased content for Kaiju Paradise. It will only include ones that are known publicly, and not private.

Everything in this page is not final and its contents are subject to change upon being added to the game.

Not to be confused with Scrapped Content, which contains stuff that were planned during development but was cut later on.

at the moment, it's a 'user-page' to document as much content as possible until the idea of making it an actual page comes to light again.

Kantasu

Template:Gootraxian Kantasu is an upcoming kangaroo Gootraxian. It has saturated dark green fur, red spikes on its head and body, and a pouch on its stomach. Despite its color similarities to Melon Shork, it is actually based on a cactus, and not a watermelon.

Its model was shown off in the Sneak Peeks channel in the game's Discord server a couple of times, including a possible passive ability that allowed it to store Slime Pups in its pouch, but nothing else is known. Due to the removal of slime pups, the pouch passive will likely either be removed entirely, or repurposed into Shamrock. Abilities

<tabber> |-|Mocha= A status effect icon for a possible Mocha ability was shown off in the #Podcast-Discussion channel, involving giving Gootraxian teammates a “caffeinated” buff that increased movement speed, paired with an accompanying status effect icon for when the buff ends, instead slowing the recipient down. Given that the concept of status effect icons hasn’t been revisited, and that the ability was created when Mocha was still named Mochi, it is unknown if this ability will still be added.

The implementation of the Coffee food item during the v3.3.1HW update, combined with the tooltip stating that it will be energizing later, makes it likely that this ability will soon be added.

|-|Crawlipede= Crawlipede will be receiving two abilities in a later update, both being from their Community Contest post. They weren’t included in the base release of Crawlipede due to time constraints and balancing concerns.

Tail Swipe

Crawlipede swings their tail forwards, damaging and ragdolling hit players, similarly to a Long Pipe.

Wall Climb

Crawlipede is able to climb walls, paired with a stamina bar to prevent glitching and camping.

|-|Witchbrew= Witchbrew had two abilities get the “confirmed” tag in the #KP-Ingame-Suggestions forum, both being suggested by fans. It is unknown if either of these abilities will still be added due to the introduction of Witchbrew’s Double Jump ability.

Acid Spit

Witchbrew spits a green acid-like liquid out of their mouth, damaging hit targets and slowing them down for a short duration.

Blindness

Witchbrew’s attack will apply a small blindness effect to hit targets, covering their screen in a thick black fog.

Items

Brass Knuckles

A pair of Brass Knuckles were shown off in the Sneak Peeks channel in 2021, with an equip animation and a possible swing animation. Nothing has been said about them since, other than a developer stating that they will eventually be added.

Bandages

A roll of bandages was shown off in the Sneak Peeks channel, with a caption saying that they were for The Final Experiment, and a crossed out note saying “unless?”. With TFE’s cancellation and confirmation that most TFE content will be ported to Kaiju Paradise, it is very likely that bandages will be added as a third healing item.

Other Weapons

A handful of miscellaneous items such as construction hammers, wrenches, and frying pans have been shown in older sneak peeks. It is unknown if they will ever appear in KP.

Status Effect Icons

Status Effect Icons were teased in the #Sneak-Peeks and #Community-Feedback channels, with the possibility of buffs and debuffs becoming a more widespread mechanic within the game. The Sneak Peak itself showed off a “fear” debuff applied to Gootraxians when standing near a Chainsaw, with the community feedback asking KP members what other status effects they would like to see in the game.

Outside of this, only a handful of icons were actually shown off in the Discord server, as well as the mechanic making a brief appearance in the Kaiju Engine Combat Test.

Kaiju Engine

Within the Kaiju Engine, only three status effect icons were used, all appearing in the bottom right corner of the affected player’s screen, listed below:

  • :3
    • Had a small chance to be applied to “feline” Gootraxians upon transformation (only Hazzy and Catte at the time).
    • Caused the player to make a “meow” sound effect whenever they sent a message in the chat, as well as shrink their player model by 0.8x.
  • Hazmat
    • Applied to players wearing Hazmat Suits.
    • No effects in game, but was intended to show the Hazmat’s durability, with the icon draining of color the lower the durability was.
  • Heal
    • Applied to players being healed by a Medkit.
    • Healed the player for 75 HP over a span of 3 seconds, and could be stacked with itself by using multiple medkits.

Unimplimented/Teased

Several status effect icons were teased in the game's discord, scattered around in different channels. For the most part, only their icons were shown, but their effects can be inferred from the color and picture on the icon. Said icons are listed below:

    • Increases the recipient's movement speed and passive healing.

    • Decreases the recipient's movement speed.
