Template:Gootraxian Errands are criteria based objectives that reward credits Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination, tokens Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination, or "other nifty rewards." Located within the Storage Bay near the Cafeteria, you can interact with Sam to accept errands. The reward varies depending on the difficulty of the errand as designated by the "I" or "II". Upon completion of said errand, you will be automatically awarded. Errands may be viewed either by interacting with Sam or by opening the Errands tab located in the side menu.
Sam is accessible regardless of any ongoing events or if you are a Gootraxian. However, if you are in combat, you will be shunned by Sam and unable to access the Errands menu. While interacting with Sam, you will be granted 20 seconds of a forcefield. This forcefield, however, does not prevent being stunned as a Gootraxian.
On some occasions, the player can still be damaged through the forcefield when interacting with Sam in-combat.
There is a 15 minute cooldown between starting a new errand, and the cooldown is shared between both teams (ie. an errand started as a human applies the cooldown even as a Gootrax, and vice versa).
Introduction to Errands
When first meeting Sam, he will introduce himself and errands. In fact, he has one ready for you right now: "I left some documents somewhere in the building, I need you to get those and return them to me." This will mark the Errand as active, and randomly spawn a document in 5 different locations. You can always return to Sam for a reminder of their location. If you are infected or die while holding the documents, you will receive the message "I lost the documents.. They should be at..." followed by one of the locations pictured below.

Errands
After finishing Introduction to Errands, you will unlock the Buck bestiary entry as well as new errands to complete. While some errands are universal, such as Damage Dealer, others such as Exterminator or Contagious Epicenter are given depending which team you currently are on, being human or Gootrax respectively.
Currently, there are 8 errands shown below.
Trivia
- Sam is a placeholder character in dialogue, name, and model. He will soon be relegated to the depths of this trivia section.
- The song that plays in Sam's menu is a cover of the Yakuza 0 Substories Track composed by Ronin.
- The criteria for Damage Dealer I and II updates in unexpected ways, seemingly checking the damage of your weapon or attack and if it hit someone or not.
- If you hit a player that has a forcefield, your Errand progress will increase despite the fact that the player with a forcefield does not take any damage.
- If you kill a player with an attack that does more damage than their current HP, you will gain progress equal to how much damage your weapon or attack does, rather than how much health you took away from your opponent.
- Collateral Damage I and II require the player to kill survivors using hazards such as Shark Fins and Dragon Crystals while grabbing them, rather than just using a hazard to deal more damage. The hazard has to be the thing that kills the survivor, otherwise it will not count.
- You are unable to talk to Sam while in a private server.
- The Contagious Epicenter Errand used to be named simply "Infector" before its public release.
- "Infector I", shown in the game's official Discord Server, had an infect requirement of 10, rather than 5 or 15.
- There's a bug with Damage Dealer I that does not grant the reward upon being completed.
- Talking to Sam can rarely result in a softlock, because the dialogue box never displays and leaves you frozen in place.
