The V3.1 Late Winter Event Update was a limited time event on Kaiju Paradise. It was released on February 2022.

The update introduced 2 new Raytraxians, a new currency, 3 new crates, a new map and a bunch of new mechanics.

Raytraxians

This update added 2 new Raytraxians, Sprinklekit and Nightcrawler.

Sprinklekits are ice cream cat Raytraxians obtained by consuming 5 ice cream cones from the Cafeteria, or by being converted by another Sprinklekit Raytraxian.

Nightcrawlers are reptilian Raytraxians exclusive to Blackouts that are obtained by either wearing the Mysterious Goggles that sometimes spawn during blackouts, or by being converted by another Nightcrawler Raytraxian.

Festive Raytraxians

This update introduced the Festive mechanic. For the duration of the event, every first 5-convert streak you get will grant you a Santa hat, or for specific Raytraxians, a special winter-themed version. Slime Pups are an exception to this as they cannot convert survivors. Instead, they have a random chance of being festive.

As of the end of the event, Festive Raytraxians can only be seen in private servers by using the :fg, :festivegootrax commands. They can also be seen in public if an administrator or moderator is in the server and executes said command.

Below is a gallery of all Raytraxians that have unique festive outfits.

Currency

There were numerous Candy Canes that scattered across the map, which come in 2 variants: regular and golden. Regular Candy Canes gave you 3 while kill/converts will only give you one. Golden Candy Canes spawned around the map with a 5% chance and collecting them will give you 5 .

Crates and Skins

The crates obtainable in this update were the Blue, Green and Red Gifts. They costed 130, 225 and 360 , respectively.

Blue and Green Gifts have the same contents with Green Gifts having a higher chance of rarer skins. Red Gifts only had rare, ultra rare and legendary skins and had a very high chance of obtaining a legendary.

Skins

Below is a list of every skin added for this event.

Trivia

  • For the duration of the event, the price of the gifts gradually went up every day for unknown reasons.

Map

This update includes the standard map, albeit with a festive feel to it. While the main structure remains the same, all locations have been slightly modified to fit the atmosphere: the rooms had lights and gifts with some snow and decorative candy canes scattered around the map. Most notably, the Cave Garden was updated to be snowified, with dead trees and lack of "moss".

The radios across the entire map play different music, all being covers of famous songs recreated by Fishcracks.

Miscellaneous Notes

The 2025 Late Winter Update is an ongoing limited time event in Kaiju Paradise. While the main part of the event started on February 18, 2025, the skins for 2025's Late Winter are slated to be released along with 3.4.

Along with the features that were previously seen in Late Winter 2022, the update also included a few additions, including the reintroduction of Errands, a couple of map changes, and the introduction of openable presents as a means of gaining Candy Canes and other items.

Crates and Skins

Similarly to the 2022 Late Winter event, the crates obtainable in this update are the Blue, Green and Red Gifts. Unlike the last Late Winter event, however, they now cost 90, 165 and 310 , respectively.

The 2025 Late Winter skins will be released in the 3.4 update.

Currency

  • Regular Candy Canes now give out 1-2 , as opposed to 3 in the 2022 Late Winter event.
  • Golden Candy Canes now give 10 , as opposed to 5 in the 2022 Late Winter event.
  • Candy Canes can now also be obtained by either completing Errands or by opening presents.

Map

The update, alongside giving the map a festive feel, added a new room to the facility, which can accessed in either the Flooded room or the Garden Cave. Presents

Presents were introduced in the event as a means of gaining candy canes and other items. Presents will spawn around the map over time. Unlike the party gifts that were seen in the 2024 Party Bash Event, the presents seen in the Late Winter event requires one to hold down a button until it is opened. The update added two types of presents:

  • Normal presents: Presents that, when opened, provided a varying amount of candy canes. These can be identified by their brightly-colored wrappings and their cubical shapes.
  • Long presents: These presents, when opened, gives the person who opens this a random firearm. The firearm that is provided, however, will be given with reduced damage, durability, and will lose more durability per shot. They can also be identified by their colorful wrapping, but can be differentiated by their elongated shape, when compared to the normal presents.

Errands

The cardboard cutout of Sam, in question.

Errands were reintroduced in the event update, with players being able to obtain them by talking to a cardboard cutout of Sam. </tabber>
