The V3.1 Late Winter Update is a limited time event on Kaiju Paradise.

The update featured two new Gootraxians, new currency, 3 new crates, and a new map.

Gootraxians

This update adds 2 new Gootraxians, the Sprinklekit and the Nightcrawler.

Sprinklekits are ice cream cat gootraxians obtained by consuming 5 ice cream cones from the Cafeteria, or by being infected by another Sprinklekit gootraxian.

Nightcrawlers are reptilian gootraxians exclusive to blackouts that are obtained by either wearing the Mysterious Goggles that sometimes spawn during blackouts, or by being infected by another Nightcrawler gootraxian.

Weapons

This update introduced the fierce Chainsaw. It is, currently, the weapon with the highest damage per second ratio in the game: its appearance is of an average woodcutting chainsaw, branded with the Laminax logo. It also applies a bounty of 350 credits on its holder, whose location is revealed to the gootraxians every five minutes.

It can be obtained at Abble's Store for 35 tokens, albeit by only one person at the time.

Trivia

• It was released beforehand on the Experimental version of the game for testing.
• While it is currently intended to be removed after the event, there is a small chance it will stay in the game after the event is over.

Currency

There are now numerous small candies scattered across the map, which come in different colors, these being green, purple, yellow and orange. These colors, however, are purely cosmetic as they all give the same amount of 6 candies upon picked up.

Crates and skins

The only crate obtainable in this update is the Halloween Crate. It currently costs the abnormal amount of 6,666,666 candies, however this is only a placeholder and will soon be changed for 666 candies in Part 2.

Currently, it holds a single skin of unknown appearance, and will most likely have more content in the future.

Map

This update includes the standard map, albeit with a new, spooky coat of paint. While the main structure remains the same, all locations have been modified to fit the atmosphere: the rooms appear in a disheveled state, with batches of dark dirt and stone with orange grass, cobwebs and pumpkins all over them. Some shelves have been toppled over or moved from their usual spots. There's also an increased amount of Catte buckets across the map for unknown reasons.

The radios across the entire map now play different music, all being covers of famous songs recreated by Fishcracks.

Trivia

• Unrelated to Halloween, the secret area by the Cave Garden has been reworked completely.
• There are seven new songs, these being references of:
  1. Among Us Drip theme (Spawn)
  2. Ghostbusters Theme Song (Shop)
  3. Spooky Scary Skeletons (Beastiary)
  4. It's Been So Long (Garden hallway and Break Room)
  5. Kidnap the Sandy Claws (Cafeteria)
  6. TBA (Garden)
  7. California Girls (Song played by the California emote when performed by a staff member)
  • These soundtracks will not be released officially, as Fishcracks refuses to upload it. Fans are not allowed to upload the OST themselves, either.
• The music for the California emote used to be available for everyone, back on the Experimental version. This has been changed.

Events

The Blackout event has been modified to suit the mood: once the lights shut down, a red fog will cover the area instead of the usual pitch black. The normally white puddles and spikes will turn crimson red, mimicking blood, thus making the slime gootraxians the same color. The messages that pop up from time to time are now different. The ambience music has been replaced by a new one, too.

• Currently, this is disabled for unknown reasons.
• It is commonly referred to as "Bloodmoon" by fans.

Miscellaneous Notes

• Sinox is now capable of wearing lab coats, making it more accurate to its official lore.
• The release date for Part 2 is currently unknown.
• Part 1 was heavily focused on the quality of the game, including upgraded anti-cheat and bug fixes, rather than on content.
• This update also brought a new code system, and two new codes, these being:
  • IEATTABLE, which rewards you with the Super Cataclysm brick skin.
  • ANDSOITBEGINS, which rewards you with 333 candies.
• Flavor variants for the Sprinklekit were included, these being chocolate, strawberry, and mint.
  • Currently, the latter is only available on private servers via commands.
