"A strange looking bucket has suddenly been placed on top of you.."
Template:Gootraxian Bucks are a Blackout-exclusive Gootraxian and the blackout variant of Catte.
They resemble a cat, with grey fur and a dark grey underbelly, and they have red horns and spines, which emit a faint, red glow in the dark similar to Carneline. They also have light red eyes.
Abilities
Increased Health (Passive)
Bucks have significantly more health than other Gootraxians, boasting 130 HP for Bucks derived from Catte. Bucks that were infected by pre-existing Bucks instead have 115 HP in total.
Throw
Unlike Catte, they do not drop their buckets upon death and cannot eject their buckets like a Catte. Instead, they have the ability to throw their bucket, dealing 20 damage to the target as well as flinging and ragdolling whoever it may hit. Throwing only works if they have the required headgear. Otherwise, they cannot perform the action and have to obtain another black bucket, which can only be obtained during a Blackout.
Buck can stack up to 5 buckets on their head. All buckets will be thrown at the same time, dealing up to 100 damage if all 5 buckets manage to hit.

Acquirement
Bucks can be obtained by finding and wearing a black bucket while already playing as a bucketless Catte Gootraxian. It may also be obtained via infection from another Buck Gootraxian, however, you will not be wearing a bucket unless you've equipped one during a Blackout.
Tips
Please note that most things listed in this section are not objective, and are not the "Correct" way to use them. This section is used to give advice to players who want to learn how to use their tools more efficiently.
- You can launch humans into spikes, crystals, and puddles fairly easily via hitting humans with your bucket, leading to easy infects.
- It is recommended that you get at least one new bucket as soon as possible after using your current stack, as once the Blackout ends, you will not be able to obtain a new one for around another 2 hours.
- This will change in a future update, as Buck will have the ability to transform Orange Buckets into wearable black ones outside of their event.
- For easy access to playing as Buck, it's usually a good idea to just play as Catte and wait until a Blackout starts, rather than playing another Gootraxian and trying to guess when it happens.
- Catte's unique ability to create puddles on the floor allows you to secure yourself an area to wait near buckets instead of resorting to using the smaller puddles around the map.
- Due to Buck's projectile buckets having a wide spread, as well as having collision with each other, it is very unlikely that you will actually hit someone with a full stack.

Trivia
- Prior to its HP nerf and the addition of the Nightcrawler, Bucks had the highest amount of health in the game for a non-Slime Gootraxian at 150 HP.
- Bucks are one of the only few Gootraxians who can outright kill survivors.
- In this case, they can do so by using their buckets. However after using it once, they will be unable to do so outside of Blackouts where they will be unable to get another bucket until another one starts.
- Bucks are the first Gootraxian to have a unique or complicated way of obtainment. They are also one of few Gootraxians who have multiple ways of unlocking their Bestiary entry.
- Buck used to have a health requirement, asking to have less than half of the health in order to put a black bucket on as a Catte.
- The low health requirement in order to be infected was removed, making the process of obtaining Buck easier.
- Buck used to have a health requirement, asking to have less than half of the health in order to put a black bucket on as a Catte.
- Currently, they are the first and only Gootraxian whose Bestiary entry may be obtained in a form that is not combat nor infection-related.
- In this case, its entry can be unlocked by helping Sam with one of his errands.
- They are one of few Gootraxians to have a unique Bestiary sound effect.
- In this case, it plays the sound used when someone gets hit by their bucket. This sound is also used for a variety of other things, such as being hit by Pipes.
- They are the only Gootraxian whose ability can be used outside of the event they originate from, but cannot be used again until their origin event occurs.
- Bucks are able to throw their bucket outside of a Blackout, but are unable to obtain another bucket until one happens.
- You will keep the ornaments of Catte's festive skin if you turn into a Buck while having the outfit as a Catte.
- Trying to use "Throw" without a bucket will prompt the following text: "You need a bucket!".
- This is one of the Gootraxians to have a costume, being the Snowboarder Buck.
- The hit sound for the Throw ability is the same as the hit sound of the removed Pipe.
- Prior to V3.1R, when Buck uses the Throw ability, it could take 35 DMG. This was then reduced to 20.
- Oddly, this is one of the Gootraxians to lack a Bestiary description.
Bugs
- Originally, normal Bucks would lose their purple crystals upon a Blackout ending. If one were to be infected by a Buck outside of the event, they will keep the crystals. It is unknown if this is intentional.
- This has been changed to Bucks' crystals staying after a Blackout ends, and its face only glowing during one and Power Outages.
