Shade
"Your eyes feel a whole lot better..."
Template:Gootraxian Shade is a gray wolf Gootraxian with black sunglasses. They have grey fur, with their inner ears, neck fluff, underbelly, feet and hands being a lighter shade of grey. Their arms and legs have curved, light green stripes on the outer sides
Their eyes are colored white, with a neon green rim on the inside. VIP Shades appear the same, except for the large Video Camera tool they can equip.
They are considered a counterpart of Fed.
Abilities
Increased Health (Passive)
Shade has an increased health of 110 HP.
Sunglasses Drop (Death)
Shade drops its sunglasses upon death for any unsuspecting Human players to walk on and become infected, though humans wearing hazmat suit cannot pick up the sunglasses, saving them from the infection.
Wear
They can remove and pull down its sunglasses using the Wear tool, which serves as a cosmetic only.
Video Camera (VIP Exclusive)
The Video Camera tool is exclusive to VIP Shades, it currently serves as a cosmetic only.
Acquirement
Shades can be obtained by walking over sunglasses or by getting infected by another Shade Gootraxian, although they won't have glasses to wear.
VIP Shades have the exact same obtainment, just with a 1/30 (3.3%) chance of being a VIP instead.
When you wear the sunglasses, the following text will pop up:
- "Your eyes feel a whole lot better..."
- "Very cool.."
Bestiary Entry

Similar to the Fed, this gootrax is wolf like, has bright green eyes, and is wearing a pair of fake, rubber like shades. This gootrax developed the same way the Fed did, but in a more safer space, a breakout in the staff lounge. Surprisingly the breakout was quickly stopped, as Shades were shown to be, though a little less intelligent than Feds, a lot nicer (though equally as dangerous). Shades show more respect for humans and more so curiosity. They are extremely protective, and work as good guards. While this specimen has not shown any aggression as of writing this log, please do not just randomly give security sunglasses in hopes of them "lightening up". |

- When a Gootraxian knocks the sunglasses off your head, the text "The glasses were knocked off your head!" would pop up.

- It is possible to get a VIP Shade from dropped sunglasses, even if its from another VIP.<ref>https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/858029724664463400/1049378674291523604/bronze_droppedaccessories.png Statement from developer Bronze for dropped shutter shades, headphones. Fedoras and sunglasses most likely apply to this as well.</ref> They all remain at the same chance of 1/30.
Bugs
- Shades had a bugged idle animation if it was transfurred by another Shade Gootraxian. This has since been fixed.
