"A bucket has suddenly been placed on top of you.."
The Catte is an orange feline Gootraxian that wears a bucket similar in color to their body on its head. They have pure white eyes, and light creamsicle underbellies, neck fur, and inner ears. They usually have their left ear covered by their bucket hats.
Players infected by a Catte do not have a bucket on their head like those infected normally do, but they are able to pick up new Catte buckets.
Abilities
When killed, the bucket from the Catte's head will drop to the ground, waiting to acquire a new host to transform.
Alternatively, they can eject the bucket on their own, but take 25 HP damage in the process. Catte is able to reobtain their bucket by finding another one and stepping on it. The bucket will despawn for a certain period of time if no one picks it up.
They can transform into a Buck during blackouts if they obtain a black bucket, with or without the orange bucket.
Acquirement
Catte can be acquired by walking over a bucket on the ground, or being infected by another Catte.

Trivia
- Catte were the first kind of Gootraxian to have an ability where an infectious item would be left behind after death, this item being its bucket.
- They were originally going to wear a cone on their heads<ref>cone heads https://discord.com/channels/786788486887768135/815998030963540028/831305191210483742</ref>, but this was changed during their development due to similarities to a transfur in a certain game.
- If you used the Overseer machete skin and kill a Catte. If they have a bucket, it will go invisible, making it act like a "landmine". This is considered to be a bug.
- It was the first type of Gootraxian in Kaiju Paradise that leaves infectious items behind after death.
- It takes about 23 seconds to be infected after putting on the orange bucket.
- Its redesign was released in V3.1 <ref>Update log of Catte's redesign https://discord.com/channels/786788486887768135/821381992779218955/886890408217546792</ref>.
- When a Catte turns into a Buck, its face will briefly change to its death face.
- In the experimental server, there is a badge called Trick Shot that is obtained by ejecting Catte's bucket and landing it straight up. The bucket shoots out confetti and text saying "PERFECT FLIP!" will appear above it.
- If the bucket lands on it's top instead of it's bottom, the confetti and badge will not appear, but the "PERFECT FLIP!" text will be replaced by either "SO CLOSE!" or "ALMOST THERE!"
- This feature has since been added to the main game in the 3.1 late winter update, but you will not be rewarded with a badge upon landing the bucket.
