Pseudo Shork

Template:GootraxTab Template:Gootraxian Pseudo Shorks are "shark" Gootraxians and the Power Outage variation of the regular Shork.

It has large blue eyes with small, white pupils surrounded by white rings. Light pink spots and stripes cover it's body, along with a light pink underbelly and "paws". There are two pairs of gills on it's torso with a bright blue interior, matching it's eye color.

Unlike the other Shork Gootraxians, it lacks a fin on its back.

Abilities

Increased Health (Passive)

Pseudo Shork has more health than other Gootraxians, at 120 HP.

Thief Lunge

Pseudo Shork can lunge forwards with their arm extended outwards. If a target is close enough to Pseudo Shork during this dash, they will be grabbed by the throat and slammed onto the floor, ragdolling and damaging the target. The ability cooldown increases by 12 seconds if Pseudo Shork successfully hits a player with this ability. (it steals ur skin lol,,,, Mimic copycat!??!?! :shocked:

Identity Theft (Passive)

If Pseudo Shork uses Thief Lunge on a target with 30 HP or less, instead of slamming them onto the floor, they will snap the target's neck and drop them, killing them instantly. A cloud of white smoke appears, and the Pseudo Shork's appearance changes to that of the person they killed, copying all of their accessories and clothing. This disguise is permanent, but can be swapped by killing another player with the ability.

Acquirement

Pseudo Shork can be obtained by colliding with one of the mini sharks in the Flooded Area during a Power Outage or by being infected by another Pseudo Shork Gootraxian.

Bestiary Entry

This gootrax is a lanky pink and white stripped shark like creature that likes to hide in dimly lit areas. They prefer dim lighting rather absolute darkness, thus leading to the team to believe this Shork has adapted to the more poorly lit areas of their tank. Unlike regular Shorks, this branch of gootrax is very puppy like, interacting with subjects and looking at them like a curious animal more so. However don't be fooled by its cute exterior, it is but a facade. As soon as it can catch an opportunity to strike, it WILL take it.

Trivia

• Pseudo Shork is one of the only few Gootraxians who can outright kill survivors.
  • In this case, they can do so using their Thief Lunge ability.
• Pseudo Shork is the redesign and replacement of Kawaii Shork.
  • Kawaii Shork has since then been "re-added" in the form of the "Classic Kawaii Shork" Gootraxian Costume.
• Pseudo Shork’s debut was in the Kaiju Engine (KE) Combat Test game and was later added to the main game in the V3.1R update.
  • However, in the KE Combat Test, Pseudo Shork's eyes would glow at all times, including during normal conditions.
    • When it was introduced in V3.1R, it now only glows during Power Outages and Blackouts.
• There was an unreleased passive in the Kaiju Engine which caused the Pseudo Shork's eyes to turn white and red, possibly for a Night Vision ability.
  • This was implemented in V3.3, where their eyes during Power Outages and Blackouts were changed to have these unique eyes.
    • Before this, it was only visible in their Bestiary photo.
