Witchbrew

"Tastes.. weird.."

Template:Gootraxian Witchbrew is a bat Gootraxian with a brown body and darker brown markings fading onto its ears and paws. They have prominent chest fur alongside cheek fluff and fluff-tipped ears. The insides of their ears and wings are a vivid green. Their eyes are of a similar hue, with a yellow iris and thin, purple pupils. Green circular markings trail from below their eyes. Small, green fangs protrude from their mouth with large, green claws at their hands. Purple, yellow and green spots are scattered around their body. They have bright purple paw pads and a small, fluffy tail.

Witchbrew, similarly to the Slime Dragon, does not walk. Instead, they use their wings to hover just above the ground.

Abilities

Decreased Health (Passive)

It has a decreased max health of 95 HP.

Unique Animations

Note: This is currently non-functional as of V3.1R, and now uses the default animations. Witchbrew has a unique attack and grab animation, the former of which swings both in front and behind them.

Smaller Size (Passive)

While this mostly appears to only be a visual difference, Witchbrew are slightly smaller in size compared to other Gootraxians, its body (excluding its head) being 0.85x smaller.

Acquirement

Witchbrew can be obtained by either drinking or exploding a Witches' Brew Can that rarely drops from the Vending Machines or by being infected by another Witchbrew Gootraxian. A Witchbrew has a 1 in 30 chance of dropping when a vending machine is destroyed. This chance is increased in larger servers.

Bestiary Entry

A Gootraxian with bat-like attributes, Witchbrews have been observed to be wreaking havoc across the LAMINAX facilities. Their playful and mischievous behavior prompts them to socialize with other gootraxians, despite their widely shunned presence. The Witchbrew was created entirely on accident! A developing gootraxian had contaminated an ordinary can of Witchbrew soda, mutating the sugary drink with unusual and undocumented properties; one of which being transforming the victim into the Witchbrew gootraxian. For future reference, do not drink any peculiar looking soda from vending machines.

Trivia

• The Witchbrew is the long-awaited replacement of Trystan.
• It, Toxic Rabbit, Ghost Fox, Hazzy, and Trystan (before it was removed) are the only Gootraxians so far to have more than 2 ways of being acquired, with having 3.
• It is the only other Gootraxian to 'fly' besides the Slime Dragon.
• Contrary to popular belief, Witchbrew does not have increased movement speed.
• They are also one of four Gootraxians to have a different size value, the others being Slime Pup (being 0.8), Slime Dragon (being 0.85) and Kaiju (being 1.1).
• Despite the fact that Witchbrew's attack animation swings in multiple directions, it has been confirmed by a developer that this was unintentional.
  • It is unknown if this will be changed in the future.
• It will receive further tweaks and abilities in a future update.
• After drinking a Witches' Brew the full effect takes anywhere inbetween 15 and 30 seconds.
  • On average, it takes 22 seconds.

Bugs

• At launch, its wings had collision with other players and the map around it, other winged Gootraxians did not have the same effect despite having wings as well.
