Badges are awards you receive when you do certain things in game, and may also grant you rewards in game. They cannot be obtained while playing on a private server.

Trivia
- The pupil of the eye in the new 100 streak badge icons contains the Chinese/Japanese character for "hundred" (百).
- It was possible to get all of the Infect Streak badges without infecting a single survivor at one point. This was done by repetitively grabbing or punching a small plushie on a table.
- The plushie was later given immunity to grabs and punches, thus patching the glitch.
- The said table was in the hidden room at the Support Cave before the room got replaced with the Library, which is currently in the grass cave.
- Yes, that really is the badge icon for the unused Skin Overload badge.
- The badge icon for the Despair badge appears to be the texture used for the radios found around the facility and the Boombox.
- Skins obtained via badges in the main game will transfer to the Experimental Build, granted that you already have the said badge.
