Template:Gootraxian Lemon Shorks are pastel yellow sharks with very pale-yellow underbellies. They have four dark green eyes with lighter green pupils, the bottom of which are slightly smaller and narrower.

Unlike their similarly designed counterpart, the Shork, they have fins on their arms and back. They also have two leaves on top of their head, something no other shork type has.

Lemon Shork can blur players' screens for 5 seconds every time the player is grabbed or attacked by one with a 1/3 chance, which can be stacked.<ref>https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/858029724664463400/992223640877801604/lemon_acid_AHHH.png Lemon Shork blur ability log, September 13 2021.</ref> Upon being subject to this ability, the prompt "Lemon juice got in your eyes!" will appear.

Acquirement

Lemon Shorks can be obtained by holding a Lemon Slice while walking into a Shork fin in the Flooded Areas when there is no event occurring. You can also become one by being infected by another Lemon Shork Gootraxian.

After a player has walked into a fin and already transformed with a Lemon Slice, the Shork fin will become and remain yellow. Anyone else who walks into the fin will become a Lemon Shork, regardless of if they have a Lemon Slice.

After 30 seconds, if no player has touched the yellow Shork fin, it will revert back to a regular gray Shork fin.

Bestiary Entry

Large shark Gootraxians with a unique double pair of eyes, Lemon Shorks appear to be the result of a lemon combining with a regular Shork.
These Gootraxians can be aggressive and highly protective of others of their kind. They tend to form groups with others as well, and appear to be most active in low light, as their two highly developed pairs of eyes enable them to see clearly during these conditions. Their bodies contain a chemical not too dissimilar to lemon juice, and getting it in your eyes may leave you blinded and in a fair amount of pain.

Do not feed lemon slices to the Shorks.


Trivia

  • In its concept art, it was originally called the Golden Shork.
  • Upon being hit, dying or grabbing someone, the V3.1 design's face appears to have either simple two eyes or in the grab face's case, three.
    • This appears to be a drawing error from Blaxor, who drew a majority of the Gootraxians' faces, with a few exceptions.
  • The Blindness effect that they have is similar to the one applied to Panthers upon being exposed to a Flashlight or Sprinklekit.
