Slime Pup

Template:Gootraxian Slime Pups are one of the main Gootraxians in Kaiju Paradise. As of now, they have the second lowest HP (83 HP) out of all the other Gootraxians in the game with the exception of their Diamond and Golden variants.

They are small, quadruped, dog-like creatures made of some kind of slime with white face masks. They can come in many colors, such as red, white, lime and cyan.

Abilities

Slime Pups can bite humans (11 DMG) and Gootraxians (5.5 DMG) and are able to steal and hold various items from humans, this comes with the cost of having their jump cooldown increased by 1.5 seconds. They cannot steal items from humans that are wearing a Hazmat Suit. Using the Pat emote on them as either a Gootraxian or human will result in a special reactive animation with unique heart particle effects.

They can also eat food to restore some of their HP, with the exception of lemons which damage them instead as well as Strange Crystals that once eaten will transform the Slime Pup into a Rainbow Slime Pup.

They can sleep and wear certain objects lying around the map on their heads, such as buckets or yellow cones. This increases their HP by around 20 points.

Ghost Slime Pups are able to phase through players at any time and turn invisible for 3 seconds when hit, as well as having a unique levitating sleeping animation. The latter does not affect them in combat and is purely cosmetic.

Golden and Diamond Slime Pups are unable to reset or kill themselves by running into the forcefield around the spawn area, or getting crushed by the gates. They are unable to heal themselves by eating food and cannot regenerate their HP back over time. Golden and Diamond Slime Pups are unable to restore their HP entirely.

Obtainability

There are 3 common Slime Pup variants and 3 rare variants.

Normal/Event Slime Pups

You may become a normal Slime Pup by losing all of your HP to the blue puddles on the floor of the facility and in the cave. Doing this during a Power Outage will result in you turning into a red Slime Pup, with glowing, red, crystal spines along its back. During Blackouts, you will instead turn into a white Slime Pup with a ghostly, white, translucent body and a wispy tail.

Golden and Diamond Slime Pups

Getting infected by a blue puddle has a 1/250 (0.2%) chance (1/750 if server has below 15 players) of turning you into a Golden Slime Pup. Getting this rare Slime Pup variant will reward you with the "A Rare Variant" badge and the "Aureate" bat skin. Upon death, Golden Slime Pups will drop 2.5k credits to whoever landed the killing blow and turn whatever weapon it was killed into a gold weapon.

Being an even rarer variant, there is a 1/500 (0.1%) chance (1/1500 if server has below 15 players) you may turn into a Diamond Slime Pup. These variants are the rarest Gootraxians in the game. When hit, they drop credits that scale to the amount of damage dealt to them. Upon death, they will drop a Diamond Crate that, once received, can be taken to Abble's Shop for a chance of getting rare weapon skins. They also drop 2,000 credits to whoever landed the killing blow as well as sending out a flurry of more credits that other players can pick up. The amount of credits showered out scales to the amount of players in the server.

Rainbow Slime Pups

You can become a Rainbow Slime Pup that shifts through multiple colors by eating a Strange Crystal from a human's hand. You can earn a badge from this as well as the Rainbow Bat skin. You can also obtain this badge by feeding Slime Pups the Strange Crystal as a human.

Trivia

• The Slime Pups' face masks were based off of apple cores, the eyes being seeds and the mask color being similar to the inside of an apple, as confirmed by one of the developers.
