Pups can deal damage to humans (11 damage) and Gootraxians (5.5 damage) to them and able to steal various items from humans, but their jump cooldown will be increased if they holding something by 1.5 seconds. They won't be able to steal if the players are using hazmat suit. They also can be patted by Humans which will emit a heart corresponding to the color of them.

You can only become a Slime Pup by losing all of your health in a blue puddle. When you lose all of your health to a Pup puddle during a low power event, you will become a Spiked Pup, with glowing red crystal spines on its back. On blackout, you will turn into a Ghost Pup instead.

When losing all of your health in a blue puddle, you have 1/500 (0.1%) or 1/1500 (if players count server below 15) chance to become a Diamond pup which is the rarest Gootraxians in the game. Every time you hit them, it will drop credits that scales to the damage you deal. Upon death or kill of it, it will drop a diamond crate that can be taken and give 2k credits to whoever kill it along with an explosion of credits that scales accordingly to the amount of players in server.

Getting this rare Slime Pup variant will reward you with the "A Rare Variant" badge and a unique bat skin known as Aureate. Upon death, Golden Slime Pups will drop 2.5k credits to whoever landed the killing blow and turn whatever weapon it was killed with gold.
